Across the street from Kamaole Beach Park II, the 11-acre complex in Kihei, Hawaii is three miles from Wailea's golf courses, shops, and restaurants. Kihei's shops and restaurants are within a quarter-mile. Self-parking is complimentary.
Landscaped grounds include a tennis court and two freeform splash pools with adjacent spa tubs and barbecue grills.
Aston at the Maui Banyan's front-desk staff can assist with tennis-equipment rentals and business services such as copying and faxing (surcharges). Wireless Internet access is complimentary.

Aston at the Maui Banyan's 256 guestrooms and condo units are spread over 8 five-story buildings; buildings three stories and higher have elevators. All accommodations have private, furnished lanais, air conditioning, 27-inch cable TVs, complimentary wireless Internet access, and in-room safes (surcharge). Standard guestrooms have compact refrigerators and coffeemakers.
The Kihei condo units offer washers and dryers and kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, coffeemakers, cookware, and dinnerware. Bathrooms have showers only or shower/tub combinations.
Smoking is not permitted inside hotel rooms.

The 11-acre hotel's landscaped grounds include a tennis court (reservations required; surcharge for equipment) and two freeform splash pools, each with a large sundeck and spa tub. Gas barbecues and picnic pavilions are adjacent to the pools.
The beaches of South Kihei include the three Kamaole Beach Parks, all with lifeguards and good swimming. Kamaole II is across the street from the hotel. A half-mile south, Kamaole III offers water activities, picnic tables, sports fields, and a playground.
During winter months, whales can often be spotted across from the hotel.
Wailea Golf Club's championship courses are three miles away.

Promotions
Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available. One-time registration fee of $10 per child includes a t-shirt. Daily rate of $25 per child includes meals. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance upon arrival at the resort. Registration is held daily at 8 AM at the Camp Kaanapali Center in room 135. Camp Kaanapali hours are Monday – Friday (with the exception of major holidays), 8 AM – 2 PM. Friday evening sessions are 5 PM – 9 PM and include dinner. Space is limited to 16 participants per session. Children who are ill may not attend.
Note: Camp Kaanapali is located at the Aston Kaanapali Shores and is available to registered guests of all Aston properties on Maui.

“Our family loved it!”
Spacious, fully furnished appartment with separate bedrooms for kids and adults. Two tv's and dvd-rental in the lobby. Perfect for a family with three small kids that go to bed early. Also loved the pools and hot tubs, as well as the proximity to fabulous beaches and a variety of restaurants and some shopping.
“Will be booking for next year”
Met all of our requirements, and then some. Attractive room, clean, provided all amenities you may need for the duration. the location is awesome! I cant believe how close we were to everything, including some of the best snorkeling on the island. Friendly staff, would definately recommend you stay here. We'll be back!

fantastic place to stay.condo living with the perks of a"hotel". our first trip to maui and would definitely stay there again. condo was immaculate in both cleanliness and stocked with your everyday kitchen needs.
“Very pleased”
We absolutely loved our room! We could not have picked out a better room to stay in if we had picked it ourselves! When we return to "Maui" we will definitely request to stay there again. We stayed in the Maui Bayon room G201-201a. There were six of us and we had plenty of room. Our rooms were decorated very nicely and we had a nice size balcony with a partial ocean view. We even enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners outside on our balcony. Oh, and a beautiful beach with snorkeling right across the street.
“Maui Banyan was perfect for us”
We chose to stay at the Maui Banyan after reading MANY reviews on Expedia. We stayed in a recently renovated two bedroom condo in the T building. It's the furthest from the beach but it was still a short walk to the beach. We had a ground floor room so I was concerned about bugs but we didn't see a single one in our room. Towels were changed daily. It was great to have a washer and dryer to frequently wash our beach towels (not provided by the condo - bring your own). The condo was well stocked and had extras like a blender, blow dryer,... A lanai that is on ground level won't give you an ocean view but we loved our location because ground floor lanais are bigger and we were a very short walk to the pool and BBQ's. Our view was toward the pool, but even if you get one that overlooks the parking lot they have beautiful landscaping and the view isn't bad. Our unit was clean and well maintained and I was a little worried after reading several negative reviews on the Maui Banyan. Our experience was positive and I would definitely go back. A perfect family condo!
“Pleasant place to stay”
Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. My room was clean and supplied each day with fresh towels and coffee. I would stay here again but would get a condo instead of hotel room so I would have kitchen facilities in the interest of economy. I also ended up spending more time in my room than I had anticipated so a condo would have provided more "home" ammenities. I was in Maui for a wedding and with the intention of relaxing, so the Maui Banyon was a good choice as far as location and atmosphere. I did not have a car--fortunately everything I needed was in walking distance. I also felt safe and as I was traveling alone this was an important aspect.
“Nice place to stay!”
The hotel was very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were very profeesional and very helpfull. It was our first time in Maui and we love it. The only problem was that there was a nasty smell in our room when we first arrived. But it did seem to get better after a day or so. My wife and I believe is from all the moisture in the air. Leave the ac on 24/7 and the smell will get better!

I have stayed at this property before, and would love to stay there again. It is a beautiful property, great staff, clean, great pools, grills for cooking, and just gave us a good home feel.
“Great no-frills condo in Kihei”
We stayed at the Maui Banyan November 19-26, 2008 and were in room P301. We had a 1 bedroom condo unit, not a standard hotel room. (There is a difference, so be careful when you book it!) Though the decor (paint, decorations, bedspread, etc) was dated, our room was clean and had new granite countertops in the kitchen. The bathroom was small and dark, but that was the only downside to this room. The washer/dryer combo was a lifesaver and the kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans, measuring cups, etc. The walls are really thin and a few times we could hear our neighbors' TV, but we didn't spend much time in the room so we didn't much care about that. There's no ocean view, but the mountain view was beautiful! The location is awesome, right across from Kamaole Beach II and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend the Maui Banyan!
