“Papakea is wonderful!”

We have stayed at Papakea three times and have referred many friends there as well. It's a perfect spot for families. Situated right on the water, the resort is very well maintained and features comfortable condos, 2 pools and pool side grills. Very relaxed atmosphere and a place you'll hate to leave.

“beautiful view smokers beware”

it is more like a condo setting. restraunt is next hotel over along with bar, there is no smoking anywhere you must be 20 feet from building. there is however a bench in main parking lot with ashtray. they also post a very steep elimination fee for ridding of the smoke even on the balconys! view was beautiful.we had a studio perfect for two, plenty kitchen stuff, farmers market next door and a great restraunt "soup nuts" across the street with a 24 hr grocery store. location close too everything

“Very Impressed”

This was our second visit to this particular hotel. We decided at the last minute to go to Hawaii again for the second year in a row, and went with the same hotel as our first experience was so good. And they definetly did not disappoint the second time around! The rooms are kept up very nicely. The staff are so helpful and the grounds and location are great too.

We absolutely loved this hotel and would certainly stay here again. We have been to Hawaii a few times before and have always had either a gecko or bug in our room, but we could not find even a tiny ant in this unit, even under the sink! We had a great ocean front, ground floor unit and walked right out to the beach every day. The pool was sparkling and we loved using the poolside barbeques for dinners by the sea. We had a better view than any restaurant! We can't wait to come back.

We had the best time. The view was spectacular! We would recommed this condo. It was clean and comfy. The grounds were maintained very well.

I had been to Maui last year and took my children (12 & 19) this year. We had a wonderful time only complaint was that the week went too quickly. Accommodations were very nice. Hot tub, pool, beach and ocean were great. Grounds were very well maintained. Koi ponds, sunsets, whales just off shore, and even a sea lion on the beach were beautiful. Grocery store across the road and Farmers Market within walking distance so we grilled brats, burgers and steaks - store has a great deli with a wide variety of salads etc and Farmers Market had wonderful fresh fruit.

“Nice place”

We found the resort to be very nice and laid back. Although we had a "Garden View" unit, we had a decent view of the ocean, and the courtyard area is very spacious and green. The pool area is very nice and relaxing - if you want a loud, noisy, crowded scene, this is not the place. The landscaping is quite nice and well maintained. I had some family who were staying farther north at the Sands of Kahana, where the units are nice and huge, but the pool atmosphere and their outside area was very cramped - lots of concrete surroundings. The Sands does have a poolside restaurant/bar though, so it really depends on what you prefer for relaxation. Our particular studio room was clean and comfortable, and the rooms have air conditioning, which is not true of all the resorts in the area. We used the AC only part of the time, because the ocean breeze was very pleasant and cool enough most of the time.

“Enjoyed the View”

Really enjoyed our stay. Oceanfront room was a plus. Liked having the Gas Grill nearby for evening barbecues. Room was clean and up to date. Staff were helpful and courteous. Will be back!

“No cheap, but worthy”

We stayed for ten days and the experience was wonderful. Nothing bad to say. Good location, close to the sea (oceanfront), close to shops, Lahaina, wonderful views, very nice staff.
