New room for our family, like the new facility. Nice receptionist- we checked in late at night due to flight change. The lady in Reception was very nice. The only thing is no refregirator, microwave and oven in the room. Breakfast is lack of variety. But will recommend, very good location.
We have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on several visits to Charlotte since it was new. After a few years the facility is showing a lot of wear and tear. The great staff makes up for most of this, but we are looking for a new fresh place to stay on our future visits.
Decent price and only 10 min from doentown and 15 min from carowinds. It's in a quiet town outside the metro area, so no late night loudness. I saved 200$ than I would have staying in a mediocre place downtown.
Hostess was most accomodating with breakfast to our schedule which changed every day. She was ready to have it early or late, whatever we needed. Location kept us out of south Charlotte's horrible traffic. When we went to supper at mall areas, we were going against LONG lines of work traffic. When we returned it was gone.
This French chateau-style manor is across the street from Squirrel Lake Park and 5 miles from Providence Country Club. All …More
Part of Metrolina, Matthews is one of several incorporated towns that serve as a bedroom community to Charlotte. Matthews’ centerpiece is its stately brick colonial Town Hall, the seat of local government. Charlotte is easily accessible thanks to the area’s first urban highway, Independence Boulevard.
