The air conditioning was broken building wide, but the desk clerks acted like it was just our room. They played with the controls and told us they would come back to check. They never did! We moved to new rooms twice (three rooms total), and each one was worse. It wasn't until I talked to the manager the next morning that I found out that no rooms had A/C.
The hotel is in a light industrial area, which would not have been too bad if we could have kept the window closed. With no A/C we needed it open to avoid suffocation, so it was very noisy.
We were given a non-smoking room, but the entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. It was thick!
We needed a good night's rest, and didn't get it.
