"Decent, clean, affordable!"
We stayed here on short notice for a nearby wedding because this location allows dogs. Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a killer continental breakfast. No frills, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area!

"Nice Marquette Hotel"
We were in Marquette for my son to take a test early the next day. We did not do much while in the area but we found the hotel clean friendly and quiet. The breakfast was not spectacular but it held us over until lunch. How do they slice the bacon so thin? If you take many slices I guess it will be equivalent to a slice of bacon. The coffee also could have been improved on but these two things did not really detract from our stay. The desk people were friendly and we had a nice room without a noisy heater as we had experienced on a few other trips when staying at another hotel in the area.

"Nice, new hotel, great location"
We stayed at this hotel for a few nights in early August. First of all, the location is great - you can easily walk to all the fantastic restaurants and shops that downtown has to offer; the views of the harbor are wonderful; the extensive bike bath passes right by the hotel making walks/runs/bikes during your stay so convenient. The whole hotel was very clean, the staff very courteous, and the complementary breakfast was more than adequate (love the waffles!). I would most definitely recommend this hotel, and if I need a place to stay next time I am in Marquette, I will definitely be choosing this hotel again.

"Great!"
We came up to visit the Munising area after not having been there for 10 years. In the past we used to always camp but being later in the fall we didn't want to gamble with the weather. Last time we visited this hotel didn't exist. It was very nice, very clean, and the pool facilities were very nice and clean. I even went down the water slide because.....why not? Great experience overall and would definitely stay again.

    Marquette Hotel Guide

Although this area of Michigan was inhabited by fur traders and missionaries as early as the 1800s, Marquette, MI did not become a working settlement until after iron was discovered in 1844. The iron mining made Marquette quite successful, and the town capitalized on this wealth by advertising itself as a vacation destination in the early 1900s. Its location on the Great Lakes made it a natural stop for passenger ships, which often let off crowds of visitors during the summer.
