“NICE HOTEL”
STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL. REOOM VERY CLEAN - A LITTLE TOO MUCH BLEACH. NOT FANCY BUT EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. IF YOU NEED A ROOM JUST TO SHOWER AND SLEEP WHILE YOU EXPLORE THE BAY AREA, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY.
“Good service and clean hotel”
Bobby, the manager on duty, was friendly and respectful. The place was clean with microwave, refrigerator and wireless internet. This is a good, cheap and basic place to stay if you're not in the hotel that often.
“Great price, great night's sleep”
The managers were friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small, but fine for one night's stay. Everything was clean and quiet for my wife and me.
“Best Service Ever”
I was given a free upgrade on the spot to a larger room with a kitchen, since it was off season. After being in the room long enough to fully look it over, the phone rang and it was the manager asking me if all was good and if I was happy with the room. It was all good.
“Oldie but still good place to stay”
Drove in at night and neon lighted look scared me, but stayed the room was clean and quiet, Dated decor was in good shape, bed less then comfortable on it's own but had my trusty airmattress to make it just like home. Staff respected privacy signs and cleaned only when I wanted and did a good job. (helps in communicating if you spoke spanish) strip mall to north had good food (pizza, mex, chinese), burger king south, safeway across freeway with cheap gas.
“Extremely helpful desk staff!”
The gentleman who manned the desk -- I'm sorry I didn't get his name -- was extraordinarily helpful in accommodating me when my reservation at a different hotel in the area was not honored. I needed a room for two nights, but there was only one available when I checked in. The next morning, the desk man sought me out to tell me there had been a cancellation and he could accommodate me for the second night. GREAT SERVICE!
“Perfect Base for SF and wine region.”
The hotel was perfect, 18 miles over the Golden Gate bridge into SanFrancisco where there was plenty of parking (most lots 35 dollars a day). In the other direction Napa and Sonoma wine tasting, sunshine and open countryside. Weather great (July) outside the mist of SanFrancisco. 1 mile from a shopping area, small, excellent supermarket and really fine restaurant. If you don't want to go out in the evening for food, there is an OK-Mexican restaurant on the hotel site. It also serves breakfast but the hotel provide a small continental breakfast if you prefer. The Hotel was clean and very comfortable with friendly staff. We had big room at the back with kitchen area and sofa. The pool was larger than we found at other comparable hotels, though not good for sitting round. The rooms at front looked a bit smaller and closer to traffic so ask for the back.
“Good Budget Hotel”
If you just need a place to crash after a wedding, stay here. No frills, but just what you'd expect from a budget hotel: clean rooms, hot showers, basic TV, no shampoo. Location was great, staff was friendly, we slept well. I would reccomend to friends for a one night stay, but certainly not if you're looking for a fantastic wine country hotel.
“econolodge @ Novato”
my initial objective in choosing this location was to be as close as possible to Napa Valley without paying Napa rates. that objective was achieved. what i failed to consider was that crossing the bay bridges would cost me almost the equivalent of getting a similar room south of san francisco. although i enjoyed the ambience of the hotel (rustic, efficient, homey) and its surroundings (quiet neighborhood, except for the sound from the freeway) most of my local travel was south of the hotel, not north. for travellers whose business is in the area, i highly recommend this lodging.
“Good for the price”
The guy at the front desk was very friendly and enjoyed a little chat with him. The room is very simple and clean. The heater originally installed was broken and had a very small "plug-in" heater placed on top of the microwave to heat the entire room. It was not warm enough. I asked the front desk and he brought another one. Then, the room was warm enough. Nothing around the hotel. Be prepared to expect nothing! There is a restaurant next to the hotel and is serving mostly Mexican food. Did not impress me a lot... The breakfast is included... but don't expect it to be nice. You get food to eat and coffee to drink. That's all, and nothing fancy about it. Internet connection was great. It is free of charge. The speed is not at the top level, but good enough to watch ustream. The good thing about this hotel is the price. It is an economical choice, and yet you get what you need. I felt the area is safe enough as well.
