The hotel staff was very rude and non helpful in any way. The room was clean and all that good stuff but do not expect anyone to give you any info. or help you in any way.

“Mean Manager”

The manager Gary was unkind. He doesn't understand that he is the service business and being nice to customers is part of the job.

“Will not use them again”

No available outlets for laptop. Poorly thought out room layout. Had to argue with manager to get a receipt on checkout. At this price point I expect much better.

“Terrible Staff, Good Location, but Stay Somewhere Else”

The staff member we dealt with (who turns out to be the General Manager, no less!) was extremely rude to us. Made snide remarks in response to simple questions. Never once smiled, never so much as said hello, welcome, please, or thank you. He resisted giving us each a room key (3 adults), implying that we would lose them. Room was decent, though TV was awful and there was NO air conditioning (despite what their online description says). The breakfast was good (fresh waffles!). The hotel was conveniently located -- close to restaurants, hiking etc -- but there are several other inexpensive hotels close by that probably don't have such rude staff. The General Manager himself made it clear that guests were a bother he barely tolerated...help him out by NOT staying there.

“too expensive for what you get”

Let me start with the good first: The only good thing I can say is the free breakfast was satisfactory and we had it every morning. And now for the bad: Twice before checking in I made calls to the front desk asking specific questions which were replied with an attitude of irritation. Immediately upon check in we were surprised by the stench. I was literally gagging as I attempted to make it down the hallway to our room without puking. The stench was horrible to say the least. Like filthy carpet mixed with sage brush, feet and vomit. After the first day however, the smell dissipated. I have a feeling someone complained because all the windows were open, airing out the place. There is no AC and the "pool" is more like a large hot tub. This place is a rip off to say the least. We pay less per night for a 3 star in Kona, Hawaii!

“Great Location”

We needed a couple rooms in Mammoth at a good price. I first called Quality Inn directly and they said they were completely sold out...hmmmm. Checked on Expedia and there were plenty of rooms available. hmmmm. Anyway, its very convenient and close to everything. Rooms were big and spacious. The only complaint is that they smelled like kitty litter from the heaters. Called down to the front desk and apparently its the old style heaters in the room. We were told to raise the temp over 75 and it should go away. It just got too hot in the room so we had to open the windows. Smell didn't go away either, just got used to it.
