“Good Lodging, but Dirty & Unwarranted Resort Fee”

I visited in the summer. The convenience of the location is great for access to the mountain or Devil's Postpile. The hotel hallway carpeting appeared very dirty. The room was dark and had horrible lighting around the vanity. The mandatory $20 resort fee per night was an unwelcome addition. They claim it covers several things that are included with many hotels, including a workout room, business center. It also includes things of minor value such as free dvd rentals and free local calls. What is the point in charging an extra fee if it is mandatory? Bait & switch pricing. They had wifi internet access, but it didn't work. They provide an ethernet cable in the room that worked for internet access, but there was no outlet near the cable.

“Poor service for your money.”

We stayed in the east building of the three and were most disconcerted by the heat of the room. The climate control did not work so we hardly slept, and was physically sick by the temperature even with the window open. The room was noisy too. When we complained all we were waivered was the 20 dollar hotel charge, which we weren't aware of anyway until we booked in. The bar upstairs was nice and had a good view of the mountains but closed at 9. The pub opposite closed after happy hour at 6pm. Overall, this hotel is way overpriced for the service you recieve.

“Disappointing but close”

It's so sadly in need of an upgrade to the rooms and the hotel overall. But you can't beat being close to the slopes.

“If only location matters”

Location is terrific and price was good. I was placed in another building with a very small, very tired room.

“Really disappointing”

This hotel would have to be the most disappointing place that we stayed at during our 6 week US holiday. The reception / dining room wing was OK but the wing that our room was in was really run-down. Our room had a really stale / mouldy smell, the bathroom door wouldn't close, the bathroom door handle was falling off and we were woken up throughout the night by other guests running up and down the corridor, shouting and slamming doors etc. The restaurant food was very ordinary and overpriced. We stayed in lots of hotels during our holiday - all were great except for this place.

“Go somewhere else - the location isn't worth it”

This hotel is conveniently right beside the resort, but it's NOT worth it at all! They make the room look cheaper than it really is by charging a resort fee separate from the room fee. It's dumb because the resort fee is for various things you'd expect to be part of the room fee, like local calling and coffee/tea (tho there was no tea). The coffee maker was gross in the water reservoir. The door to our room was crooked so it let a lot of light into the room. The heating/ac didn't work - it would only heat and the room was SWELTERING hot. The air circulation is very poor - we felt suffocated in the room. The windows don't have screens on them. The ice maker in the building didn't work so we had to go to a different building to get ice. The pillows were beyond terrible and gave me a really bad crick in my neck. The beds were lumpy. The shower couldn't hold temperature at all. Oddly enough, they provide Aveda products in the bathroom though, so that's nice. The hair dryer was really crappy and kept overheating after being on for like 3 seconds. The toilet basin cover didn't fit the toilet. The layout of the room was very strange. We had 2 beds in our room but one of them beds was RIGHT at the door instead of right beside the other bed like in most hotels. Our room was RIGHT in front of the elevator too so we kept hearing its annoying buzzing. Also the walls and ceiling are like paper. You can hear EVERYTHING. I could practically hear the conversation of whoever was above us.
