“a refreshing summer stay”
It's a huge complex, but even though I was on the first floor, it was quiet at night. The kitchen was incredible and is a real money saver. The door to the balcony was a bit tricky to negotiate, but other than that, all of the details were well taken care of in the room, right down to an individual room guest book. The spa and pool were comfortable and clean, and the common areas like the huge balcony looking out on the mountains were welcoming.
“Great location for skiing”
Loved this place. We got a great deal on the airfare and lodging combination. Went with husband and two kids. The convenience to the ski lifts and lodge made skiing easy. And the heated pool after a day of skiing was divine. If they offer a deal again, snag it while you can.
“Hotel Juniper Srings resort”
“Very Nice”
Great place and very clean. The only complaint as others have stated, is the rooms are pretty warm with no AC. We slept with the windows open and also used a fan. Pool and spas were very nice and the staff were great. Would definitely go back.
“Bien”
Globalement très bien! Le point négatif est quil faut prendre la voiture pour dîner le soir...
“Great location”
Great location, nice hotel. Just wish the rooms where a little bigger.
“Nice, but Slightly Overpriced”
The most satisfying thing about the Juniper Springs Resort is it's proximity to the Eagle Express lift; when I got tired, I was able to just board back to my room while my boyfriend and his friends continued boarding without me. It was much more convenient than waiting at a lounge until they were ready to drive back to our hotel. That being said, I do think that the resort is a bit over-priced (we had a 2-bedroom condo) and doesn't have the feeling of luxury that I get at other resorts I've been to...definitely doesn't deserve the bogus $20 per night fee they charge at check-out. I also wish I had realized that there were different buildings; I would have asked to stay at the main lodge instead of at Sunstone, which doesn't have a front desk/lobby. The front desk asked us to walk over to the main building in the middle of the night to grab a couple extra blankets. I should also note that we didn't end up needing the extra blankets because it is ridiculously hot in the rooms, even in the winter. We had to crack the windows and still woke up sweating in the morning. I can't imagine how intolerable it would be in the summer. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and I liked that the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots & pans (and a dishwasher!). The king beds in the rooms were comfy, but the pull-out couch was the worst I've ever laid on. Long story short, I probably wouldn't pay to stay at the resort again, but would gladly go on someone else's dime.
“Very close to the lift”
Really close to the lift. Only downside is that there is no front desk in all building if you want to walk up and ask for something. Besides that - it is an awesome place to stay for a ski trip.
“Good option for a family ski getaway”
We spent 3 nights at the Juniper and would definetely go back. Note that rooms have a fully equiped kitchen that you must leverage as there is no restaurant in the hotel. During ski season there is a tent by the lifts where you can eat (but it is outside the hotel).
“The Hotel”
The ski lockers could have been easier to use, but overall we had a good stay.
