We booked this place to stay based on the reviews and was not disappointed, it was exactly as described a truly impressive restoration done by Frank the owner who made us very welcome and extremely helpful. Valetta is a beautiful city with plenty of places to eat, visit and shop. We had a lovely holiday and have already recommended staying here to friends.

Hotel: The staff could not be anymore helpful. From giving alternative room options to advising the best local restaurants. The rooms are clean and more than adequate. (We stayed in rm 214 - family room - which had 1 x double rm, 1 x twin rm, 2 x lounge areas, 2 x bathrooms and a nice kitchen/dining area). There is free wi-fi available and also has a hairdryer (which is not specified in the facilities). There is a lovely little bar and seating area. Didn't sample the breakfast so cannot comment. You can tell that they are carrying out decor updates but we were happy to overlook this as it didn't impact the facilities. The view from the rooftop pool is stunning, especially when the sunsets.
Location: The hotel is in a brilliant location. The bus depot is literally round the corner and it only costs 1.5 euros for a full day ticket to anywhere on the Island. After visiting the Island we found that the Qawra was certainly the best place for a wider range of restaurants and bars and some are very British if you want the option of feeling home from home.
Other tips to fellow travelers: Toiletries are very expensive so try to bring as much as your own to cut costs. If you are on a budget, try to avoid going into the first restaurant you see. Have a bit of a look around as the costs can range drastically. We had one lovely meal on a budget and then went to another place that didn't show prices are were charged 50 euros for a shared fish platter. Bit of a shock!!!

When we arrived we were greeted with mulled wine and the news that we had been upgraded which was a wonderful start to our holiday. The hotel itself was decorated well, modern and clean but with nice individual touches in the rooms. The breakfast was good with cooked and continental options and the coffee was something to look forward to every morning. We had a lovely view from our balcony which added to the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel is located on the prettiest bay in the area which is charming during the day and surrounded by good restaurants and bars for going out in the evening. Most importantly the staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel more than exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, quiet and had free wifi and air conditioning. The family who owned the hotel were very nice and offered help if I needed it for anything.
The hotel is a few minutes away from the bus, beach, promenade along the waterfront, restaurants and shops. It is in a neighborhood with many 5 star hotels but without the price.

We had a huge room at the top of the house. There was an amazing view. The jacuzzi bath was in the bedroom. There were no mod cons such as a t.v or brand new furniture but there was something relaxing and different about the residence. We had the nice outdoor pool to ourselves all day and loved the hotels restaurant that was nearby. We had two great meals there. Take some time to walk down to the main village and see the church and maybe have a cheap drink with the locals in the band club or the football club. There are communal fridges to keep your drinks cool and a nice local shop to buy them in at very cheap prices. We cant wait to go back.

We stayed 2 nights in november and we loved the hotel! It is very well located: very close to Spinola bay and the 'Ross' bus stop. The room was clean and modern with Free WiFi. The breakfast was very good and there are many restaurants around the hotel in case you want to try something different for dinner. We saw the pool, but it was under maintenance so we were not able to use it but it looks a little bit small. In general, we enojeyd very much our stay.
