“Clean and modern hotel in great location”
My fiance and I have recently returned from a week at the Calypso Hotel in Gozo. We had never been to the island before, but thoroughly enjoyed it, finding it extremely relaxing, the people friendly and the weather fantastic (we were there in the second week of June). The hotel itself was very nice, always clean, looked recently refurbished with modern fixtures and fittings. Our room was not luxurious, but again modern and comfortable and was cleaned every day. We were on B&B board basis and the breakfasts were excellent, so much choice. One thing that impressed me particularly was the taxi service the hotel arranged for us to and from Malta. In our rush to pack, we forgot beach towels, but were pleased to find these could be borrowed, fresh every day, from the hotel, for just a small, refundable deposit. I would definitely return and thoroughly recommend this hotel to friends.

This hotel is a really good base to explore the island, and in a great location for marsalforn resort. All staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite and it was maintained to a high standard. It is well worth paying for a sea view room and hiring a car.
“Good hotel well located”
Regular visitor to Gozo but this was the first time in a hotel. The staff were very helpful (details of local festivals, travel time back to the airport etc.) The rooms were comfortable and air-conditioned (essential in high summer) though the mattresses were a bit on the hard side. A call to reception had this fixed ASAP. Ample breakfast and rooftop bar/restaurant and pool were excellent.
“It's okay - but wouldn't class it as a four star”
The hotel is nice, however we found the beds uncomfortable and the decor is already beginning to look a little bit tired. The area is fantastic and there are lots of great restaurants to choose from, i would go back but i wouldn't stay at the Calypso.
“I dont think that it is a 4 star hotel. Its more like a 3 star”
They said that they had a pool on the top floor, its more like a pond. They had 3 bars but only one was open and that wasnt even the one next to the pool! Didnt enjoy my stay at all. We where booked into a doubleroom, the bed where 2 singles joined together andwhen you laid over the bed the springs get into you.
