“Would go back”
Great hotel (La Cala), right next to Santa Ana. The hotel staff was wonderful--very helpful,courteous, and warm. The three meals a day all-inclusive deal made our stay very comfortable. We even got an ocean view room for no extra charge. The beach was awesome and right in front of the hotel. The rooms could you more comfortable, especially the beds--but would go back again.

The staff was very friendly. The beach was so close. Our room was a basic one with street front. ie why terrible noisy and we could not sleep properly. Do not forget it is on cala major not palma de mallorca.
“I wouldn't go back”
The hotel wasn't completely horrible but it wasn't pleasant. The receptionist was very rude from beginning to end. After checking in, I went to my room to discover there was no air conditioning, the tv didn't work, and the phone didn't work. The view was pretty and there was a complementary breakfast. Plus a nice pool. So, like I said, not completely horrible. But during the summer (which was when I stayed at the hotel), I need air conditioning. It was miserable without it. Plus, it was not near anything but was able to take a bus anywhere for 1,25 euro/trip (not bad).
“Clean and friendly, food not good”
Santa Ana is very clean and the staff are very friendly and informative. Decor is dated although clean. Breakfast was what you would expect, toast, ceral, fresh fruit. Evening meal was of a very poor standards. Very closely to Palma and you can get the number 3 from the main street and be in Palma in approx. 20 mins. Public transport was excellent. Beach is clean and good toliets, beach bar food was also poor.
“Not too bad”
If you are looking to stay somewhere on a budget this is the place, but I wouldn't recommend it in the summer. No air conditioning. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean but dated. The food was ok. If you are traveling to Palma to taste the food I would recommend eating out, but it was perfect to hold you over until your next meal. Again, I recommend if you are on a budget and want to stay close to the beach.
