“Stunning hotel, will definately go back.”
Booked this hotel with Expedia for the first time. Stunning hotel too. Almost went self catering at another hotel but fell in love with this one and fancied being pampered. Couldnt fault this hotel whatsoever. Food was fantastic and boy what a selection we had every night to choose from. Had recently read some reviews about the food being mostly German but what a load of rubbish. My hubby and daughter are quite fussy eaters and even they were totally satisfied and stuffed every single day. Beautiful stay.
“Hire a safe!!!”
We went the week before easter and so the hotel and much of the area was fairly quiet. As mentioned in other reviews for this hotel (and resort), it is primarily used by germans. This is ok except for the fact that only two people who worked in the hotel appeared to speak English, and they both worked behind the bar. This made doing the simple things in the hotel rather difficult since a german dictionary isn't the first thing you think to take when visiting a spanish island! But despite this, the staff all appeared friendly and did try to help. The major negative that came from our week there was that on one occasion we went out for the day and returned to our room being unlocked with door open. Since we returned at about 7pm and the cleaners appeared to come around 11am we could only assume that our room had been left open all day. Something we were not to please about! This made the purchase of our safe a very good decision. However despite this, the hotel was on the whole good, a nice place to stay, and Cala Millor is istself a nice place to spend a relaxing week.
“Very good”
Very good vaue for money.
“"Lovely Hotel"”
This hotel looks very impressive from the outside, the hotel front and entrance are lovely, we were checked in very quickly and given our room. We were traveling with our 4 year old son and were given a room with 3 single beds which we pushed together to give us a bit more space. We did feel the room was cramped for the three of us and that is probably the only negative thing I could say about the hotel. The Location for the beach is second to none, it is one of the best beaches I have ever been on, you can walk out quite a good bit before it gets deep so we felt really safe letting our son play in the water. The hotel staff are pleasant enough (some more than others) but don't understand English too well. The food is wonderfull, the menu is changed daily and would satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. They have so much choice and it is all presented to a very high standard. The hotel also provide a packed lunch if you were going out for the day which was great for us as we were able to stay at the beach all day. The entertainment was just okay, we didn't hang around too much so it would be unfair to comment on the few nights we did see it. The kids club was good although by the time we went the kids were all back at school so most children were too young to be left so we were the only ones there on the days we went. All in all a good hotel, will definately go back for a long weekend with my husband to enjoy the AI. Cala Millor is a wonderfull resort.
“Very nice resort, and good hotel.”
This hotel is in a really good position in Cala Millor. Its right next to the good clean beach, all rooms with sea views. As its not in the center of Cala Millor, its quiet which is what I wanted. But there is still a few restaurants very close by. and a short walk along the beach promenade takes you to the main part of cala millor. Cala Millor is a really nice place, with a good beach promenade going from one side of Cala Millor, going all the way to Cala Bona. With plenty of restaurants and shops along the way. This probably took us 40-50 minutes to walk - but we were walking slow in the hot weather! There are lots of shops hiring bikes and you can use them on the promenade. Rooms were kept clean at all times, but decor was a little dated. Being all inclusive was good, with good food/drinks available almost all day. The entertainment in the hotel was not very good.
“good well run hotel”
this hotel mainly caters for germans which may explain the good standard. the room cleaning staff were excellent and the quality of the food was good but could be a little more imaginative. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom although clean could be updated. We stayed half board but if you intend to stay around the hotel and pool you should consider the all inclusive option which seemed good value for money. each evening the hotel offers an evening show ...these are not great but do pass the time while enjoying an evening drink. The Grease evening and Moscow to Hollywood nights were best. the pool is excellent and the location (yards from the beach) is superb. Cala Millor is the best location around here, parts of S'Illot are scruffy and there was a lot of litter when we were there. the buses on majorca are unreliable, they can be early, late, full or not turn up at all. overall we had a most enjoyable holiday
“bien mais clientéle allemande donc animation suit.”
hotel tès agréable,hors saison.
“did not want to leave”
very happy with our stay, the weather was great, facilities were excellent, very happy with the hotel and mallorca
“Hotel”
Nice hotel, with beach view and local to shopping areas. Pools abit small, indoor pool and gym often not monitored so you tend to get children messing about. Enjoyed stay and it was very relaxing. If you eat at hotel restaurant be prepared to share your allocated table, as headwaiter's clipboard of info isn't always effective.
“Disappointed”
That we booked the Sumba but ended up in the sister hotel the Borneo which was totaly unexpeected as no mention of this at time of booking. Although it turned out to be a better choice for us as more space round pool & outdoor area. Food ok for 4*. cleanliness good. Rooms rather cramped. Despite above we thoroughly enjoyed hoiliday.
