“Complete chill out”
Komadoo was better than I expected. The perfect antidote to the previous hectic week in Hong Kong! Nothing to do but eat, drink, sleep, sun bathe, swim, snorkel and scuba. The sea life is tremendous, we saw turtle and dolphin as well as the myriad of tropical fish. Professional dive centre. Not cheap but worth it!
“Excellant place”
This is a excellant place to holiday
“The Komandoo was Heaven on Earth”
We loved our stay at the Komandoo. Heaven on earth is how we describe it to our friends and family. It is a long journey from the United States, but worth it. Upon arrival into Male, guests of the Komandoo come to an air conditioned welcome center where you have drinks and cold towels to refresh from your journey. The seaplane takes about 35 minutes and then you are in paradise. The Komandoo is on a small island with only 65 guests rooms. You relax, relax, relax. It is great! The water is like bath water, yet refreshing. You can dive by walking off the beach and swimming briefly to amazing house reefs. You literally grab your snorkels and walk ten steps from your room and see amazing sea life just beyond the break. Visibility was great. The food was amazing. The service was fabulous. We could not have asked for anything more. You can easily upgrade to an all-inclusive which was worth it for us. We plan to visit again.
“Desert Island Dream”
Absolutely fantastic, a must for couples who enjoy the water and relaxation. You don't even need to dive as the reef nearby is so full of life. Accomodation and staff where great. Food Fantastic. Definatley going back!
“Paradise in the Maldives”
The resort was fantastic, food was great, masses of choice, the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to look after you. Rooms were all great, looking a little tired on the outside but they were in the process of rectifying that. Lots of rubbish washed up on the western shore of the island after a stong wind but the staff were always on hand to clean it up, shame the locals on the island just across the channel were not as bothered about keeping their own environment clearner. We highly recommend this island, if you want peace and quiet and not much else.
“UN LIEU DE SERENITE”
KOMANDOO ISLAND RESORT EST UN LIEU OU VOUS FAITES CORPS AVEC LA NATURE AU BEAU MILIEU DE L'OCEAN INDIEN- KOMANDOO ISLAND VOUS APPORTE LA SERENITE ET LE BONHEUR DE VACANCES EN AMOUREUX OU SEUL...AVEC UN ACCUEIL ET UN SERVICE IRREPROCHABLE-UN LIEU MAGIQUE DE DETENTE ABSOLU...MERCI A EXPEDIA ET A TOUTE L'EQUIPE DE KOMANDOO ISLAND RESORT.
“Incredible introduction to the Maldives!”
Komandoo is absolutely beautiful! The dive facilities were top rate, the beach bungalow we stayed in was just feet from the gorgeous lagoon that was a dream for swimming and snorkelling. We swam with sea turtles almost daily and the sea life was abundant and colourful! The beach was pristine and the food was always wonderful and never boring. If you are looking for a very relaxing and peaceful vacation with the most beautiful views and sunsets you can imagine, Komandoo is the place. Even the bar that sits on the edge of the water was paradise itself.
“Take me back there!!!”
This place is heaven on earth. They have thought of everything. It is devine I hope they don't change a thing. Thanks
“Paradise”
We have just landed back from paradise. Koomando is the most spectacular holiday destination you could ever wish for. The staff were so helpful, polite and always smiling, they gave us a wonderful Christmas experience, hey Santa arriving by boat from the warm blue Indian Ocean with fairy lights and Christmas trees everywhere. The rooms were so clean, swept twice a day, bed linen changed every 2nd day and towels etc. every day. There was even a staff member coming along the beach every day with ice cold towels to cool you down after a hard morning snorkelling. The food was spectacular, all buffet style and the most amazing choice your could ever imagine. All presented in an imaganative way with a perfect eye for detail and cleanliness. The atmosphere is so laid back 'no shoes, no news' and the island is small enough to be intimate, private and secluded but you could always find company in the bar if you wanted to chat with others. Going back as soon as possible.
“Wonderful Honeymoon!”
After traveling through Asia for a month, Komandoo was a wonderful end to our trip. The staff was friendly and attentive (we missed lunch the day we arrived and they sent sandwiches to our room immediately). The island was beautiful and well maintained (there was always someone sweeping the sand). We really enjoyed the food, which was one of my main concerns since often all inclusive buffets can be quite terrible. My husband did a lot of scuba diving and said the dive center was top notch and very professional. I did a lot of snorkeling off the house reef and was very impressed with the diversity of wildlife (although neither of us saw any big fish/sharks, not sure if it was the season or perhaps fishing). This is not the place for you if you are looking for a wild party scene, tons of activities, 30 restaurants to choose from, etc. It was almost exclusively couples and had a very low key, chill atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to truly relax.
