“Great!”
A great experience especially for students who want comfort at a cheap cost.
“great place”
we were in this same motel in Malden, Mass 2 years ago and were very satified. The room next to us had guests probably on drugs ! They had arguments and fights all night long ! We barely sleep here and there. Next morning I went tired and p... of to the manager's desk, explained to him what happened. He kindely listened and moved us to an another room with no further discussion. For that price you can't get a cleaner and comfortable place. We, for sure, will return to Econolodge.
“Better than i expected”
The reviews i read before i went on my trip made it sound as if this hotel was a dirty place and was in a bad neighbourhood.I thought it to be a very nice place my room was clean and very well maintained, nice size TV set the inroom safe was easy to use.The bathroom was clean and the towels did get changed every morning.I was very impressed by this hotel. The only bad thing that happened to me was i came back one evening and the maids had not shut my door up after they had cleaned it,luckily my passport and other documents were locked in the safe. But overall it is a nice place to stay.
“Great value and clean”
Perfect for a speedy visit. And close to the Airport
“Malden Surprises”
A good, clean, quiet and comfortable place, attentive and friendly staff. Best regards, Prof. Sergei L. Pyshkin,
“We didn't come here to eat”
This hotel was adequate. We had good access to the harbor and the history that we wanted to explore
“Nice Hotel”
Good hotel, nice proximity to Boston
“Not impressed”
Budget hotel. Very difficult to locate using Google Maps. Not that clean. A bit smelly. Free newspaper. Confortable beds.
“A reasonable stay for a bed to lay your head”
The Econo Lodge was a utilitarian hotel. The price was a bit steep for what was provided. I had trouble working the air conditioner/heater. Breakfast was free of charge but was only a small room with donuts and danish - not exactly what I had in mind when I was told "continental breakfast." Still, the hotel was five minutes away from a main road with restaurants and stores. For those who just want a place to sleep, it does the job as a hotel. It also is a mere 15 minutes from Salem and Boston.
“Easy to get to airport from here.”
We needed a place to stay for one night because we were flying out of Logan International Airport in the morning. The hotel was relatively easy to get to from I-93. The hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful when I asked how to get to the nearest Subway station, but I had to commmunicate through a thick pane of glass, so it wasn't easy to hear, plus I wondered why it was necessary to have such a safety feature. We were on the second floor. As far as I can tell, there were no elevators -- not a problem for my family, but it could be for others. Plus, the last step was bigger than the others leading up to it, so if you weren't careful, it would be easy to stumble. We wanted to head to North Boston for a few hours, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. We tried to take the bus but didn't have the route or schedule figured out. Later we leaned that you could take catch the 410 or 430 bus at the stoplight on Salem street right in front of the hotel. Instead, we drove to the Malden subway station and parked in a garage and then took the subway to downtown Boston. It looked like there was an interesting neighborhood a few blocks west of the hotel on Salem street. I saw some restaurants and shops. The airport was relatively easy to get to from the hotel. You essentially turn right when you exit the parking lot and follow the route 60 to 1A which takes you into the airport.
