“Would go back, only inconvenience 10 minute walk to Metro”
The hotel room was bright, nicely decorated and quite clean and relatively spacious compared to what you find in Paris. The kitchen was a wonderful idea. We enjoyed the variety of healthier choices of fruits, breads and dairy products which we found were quite tastier than in North America. Only steps away from the supermarket and some coffee shops and fast food places. You need to have your own towels since they only change them once a week or you need to do the laundry which is more expensive than buying the towels. The only problem we had was that the staff wasn't very informative in terms of getting a cab to the airport. It cost us more than it should have because they recommended the shuttle bus which was pricier than just getting a cab off the street. Overall we were quite happy with the hotel and would recommended it to others.
“Adagio City Aparthotel Montrouge, France - a place to stay in Paris”
We scheduled our stay at this hotel and were not disappointed as it was everything advertised. We had eight in our party so two (2) 2-room apartments were needed, or a 2-room apartment and 2 studios, was a must - note all have kitchenettes. A/C and Internet access was must. This hotel had all three. Kitchenettes make dining affordable as there is a little super market 1/2 block from the hotel. If you want to eat out there are ample places to dining and/or bring food back to the hotel. Internet was free as part of the stay (this was necessary because while our trip was vacation - I still had to work). A/C worked in two of the three rooms and after one night and day (a chance to correct the problem), the staff moved us to a room with a working A/C. Parking is available, there is a charge and it is affordable. We had a van that seated 9 people, 8 adults and 18 months old. The van could be parked underground without issue. Even though the hotel is not within walking distance of the main attractions in Paris, getting to the down town areas was easy using the Paris Tram, Bus (metro) and Subway systems. These systems are on time and the time it takes to get down town can easily be done within 30 minutes. I would suggest buying a 5 day pass to use all three. Finally, we did not speak any French - we tried, other than a few words, but there was always someone on staff that could speak English. The staff was very helpful and courteous at all times. We would go back and stay here.
“An excellent s/c apartment”
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, both in English and French. The apartment was very comfortable and could have served 4 persons( we were 3).The kitchen was adequate also, the street-noise was not excessive. Location was convenient for the bus and, with a short walk, for the Metro at Porte d'Orleans. Also, it was close to Monoprix Supermarket.Worth a repeat visit. The main shopping and eating areas were close to Pte d'Orleans-very pleasant.
“Fantastique!”
The hotel was near luxury status and only a ten minute walk (and a very pleasant walk!) from the metro stop that takes you into the heart of Paris. Hotel staff spoke fluent English but appreciated my efforts at French! From our balcony you could see the Eiffel Tower and our room was spacious with TV, breakfast bar, microwave, separate shower/bath and toilet and lovely comfy beds. We would definitely stay again and their was a charming and very cheap Italian Restaurant just twenty yards to the left of the hotel as you exit and a supermarket twenty yards to the right. The hotel staff also will arrange a shuttle taxi for you to Charles De Gaulle Airport at a very reasonable price on the day of your departure if you ask. A ten out of ten experience.
“A little out of the way...but worth the stay”
Our room had two twin beds and one sleeper sofa. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the sleeper sofa was one of the most comfortable I've encountered. The hotel staff were also very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. It is a little out of the way of central Paris, but only a short walk from Pont d'Orleans on the Metro.
“Pleasant Stay”
Drove to the hotel from Holland (underground parking facility is very secure), arrived late at night but check-in was pleasant and fast. The rooms/apartments are very well appointed, modern, spacious, and clean. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel!
“Great hotel”
Definitely a hotel that I would recommend to others. I stayed in a studio, which was very modern and cute. The bathroom was awesome and very trendy. Overall a great hotel. My only critique is that b/c it is an apart-hotel, there is not much service for short-term stays. If you plan to stay for more than a couple of days, you will have to buy your own toilet paper after the room runs out, and wash your own towels downstairs. However, it is still definitely worth it. The hotel is only a short bus ride or 15-minute walk from the metro that gets you to the main city. It's definitely a bargain.
“Great for us”
The Adagio Apart-Hotel worked well for our stay in Paris. It is located three miles south of downtown Paris in Montrouge. It was quite a walk to the metro (just under a mile), but a closer metro station (just a few blocks away from the Adagio) is under construction and will be opening in a couple of years. There is a bus route that stops right across the street from the hotel, though we prefered to walk to the metro. We were at the Adagio for a week and there wasn't any daily straightening of our room or clean towels, but we didn't care about that. The front desk was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. They over-charged our credit card, but found the mistake before we left and corrected it. Next time, we will stay closer to downtown Paris, but this worked well for us and gave us a sense of a non-tourist neighborhood. There is a small grocery store nearby (which was great because the Adagio has kitchenettes and it is much cheaper to buy food rather than eat out for every meal) and there was a bakery down the street, which provided amazing bread and great croissants. Our room was comfortable (2 adults and 2 teens) and we did have internet connection, though it was slow. The shower and toilet were in two separate rooms-a plus. There was also a balcony and in general, the Adagio was quiet (except for outside traffic). We loved Paris-the metro is fantastic-see every museum, church, Versailles, E.Tower, river tour, walk every famous neighborhood. Use Rick Steves' Paris guide.
“Out of town but good value for money!”
Room was great and overall clean and very well equipped. Stayed in room for 4 which was ideal for two adults & two children. Didnt eat in hotel, local shops ok for buying in breakfast. The only issue was that spare duvet for bed settee did not smell fresh! As other reviews said 1/2 hour journey to central Paris, but as we knew this in advance it was ok.
“would recommend”
This was a nice hotel. The apartment was great for our family of 4. Having a kitchen was nice and helped with expense. Balcony was nice to relax on and could see Eiffel Tower. Staff helpful. Didn't ever try their breakfast. Beds in Europe a little hard but ok. Area ok, right on outskirt of Paris but could walk 10-15 minute and catch metro into Paris. Price was good and we were happy! Great Pizza place just a few doors down. Spent most of time in middle of Paris.
