TERRIBLE ACCOMODATIONS - DO NOT STAY HERE
This was an extremely poor experience. While the check-in and check-out was a bit odd, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the absolutely unacceptable beds in the apartment. They were awful beds - almost like sleeping directly on a box spring or a flat hard board. Ridiculous in this day and age. Everyone in my family complained and I don’t blame them - beds were terrible….and after a long day of travel it was really bad. Almost no rest for the family. No soap AT ALL in the apartment, NO SHAMPOO. No cleaning suppplies at all. Air conditioning worked well on first floor but barely cooled the second floor where the master bedroom was located. One of the bedroom doors creaked so load my whenever it was moved that we were afraid of waking the neighbors. It’s like it hadn’t been oiled in a decade. A nightmare stay overall and a complete waste of money. This place should not be advertising on hotels.com and if they continue to do so, nobody should stay if they want to get a good nights rest and wash their hands. Worst experience I’ve had with hotels.com.

The hotel seemed fine until I saw the room. There is a reason they do not show the bedroom in the hotel profile. The mattress is horrible and I felt I could not trust the cleanliness. I was going to sleep on the sofa. Ended up sleeping at my flat that is being reformed. Only used the place to take a shower.

A bit further out but nice apartments
We booked these apartments as part of a hen do. We had three apartments in total. We booked via hotels.com and got a very good deal (very cheap) so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! Although the apartments are set a bit of the way of Puerto Banus and Marbella, they are only a 15 minute taxi ride away. The apartments were clean and spacious and had very big balconies. We were there in May, which is not high season, but the pool was very quiet, which was great for getting sun loungers and relaxing on our last day. The downside of this hotel was the check-in, we were left waiting for a very long time and any Spanish-speaking people were given priority and seen before us. We arrived late and night and there was a lot of waiting around before we were allowed into our apartments. I enjoyed our stay here and if I was to get it for the same price again, then I would definitely stay there again.

Nice spacious Apartment
Nice spacious apartment with a good view of mountains. The only disadvantage being no shops nearby. You have to drive to get to the closest shop. Also, no house cleaning everyday.

small and uncomfortable bed, wifi problem, can't swim or stay around the swiming pool after 8pm ,if you do not have a car you are sutck and you have to go back to your appt .the location is far away of everyting.

pleasantly surprised
lovely location, peaceful and quiet. great 1 bedroom apartment with a large roof terrace with stunning views. the only improvement areas to make it better would be breakfast/food which wasn't too great. the swimming pool area could do with more bed and umbrellas. Would return, great value for money.

The pool are is pleasant and pool fresh and clean (Possibly salt-water, which is preferable to chemicals). Otherwise, the resort was not as 'up market' as the photos led us to believe.

Not looking to return to Royal Suites. Photos looked 'up-market' but other than the nice pool it's in need of more imagination. The apartments were lacking basics and furnishings worn; light fixtures with no bulb and beware the basement apartment with a view of a wall!

A bit out of the way but very quiet.
Disappointed that you could not buy basics like bottled water on site, only one key for six people. Two pool areas that were lovely though and the apartment was clean and spacious.

Last minute choice trusting reviews that was great
Unhappy with accommodations and needed last minute room. Apt. Was large, clean with under ground parking. Great modern furnishing and clean new bathrooms. Without a doubt I would stay here again. In fantastic upscale neighborhood.

Seemed quiet, and the apartment had most of the kitchen facilities one needs, however no hair dryer, or Iron. Reception was always unsupervised too, I rang several times but no reply. Wifi didn't seem to be working either.

It was terrible. We left two nights earlier than booked. The wifi was very bad and on top of it we needed to go to the "billiard" area outside to get wifi where we had to stand or sit on the floor! Never again.

This place is in the middle of nowhere so you will spend a fortune on taxis. There is no wifi in the rooms which is ridiculous. The rooms are cleaned every three days as opposed to a more normal daily schedule. There is no soap or shampoo provided. Lastly the restaurant has all the atmosphere of a high school cafeteria.

Lovely spacious apartment, ideal for families
Nothing negative, just a couple of suggestions. Very clean apartment, small problem with ants. Well equipped kitchen, perfect for our family of 5. Would have been helpful to have a starter cleaning pack for the kitchen (a couple of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dishcloth,a tea towel). Good spacious terrace. We would stay again if in the area. Would recommend to friends and family.

Nice apartment with plenty of space and a big balcony. However, staff were very hands off. There was not enough basics in the apartment. We were only there for 2 days, so would have appreciated if they provided dishsoap, dishtowels, salt, pepper etc. Worst thing was the location. Difficult to find and you need to drive everywhere. Also, not enough services provided eg. no restaurant, bar etc although they have the room.

Fantastic service
Me and my family went to this hotel for one night and we absolutely loved it. It was just a stop over but we would definetly come back for a proper holiday and the service was 5 star + The staff was very helpful and was very keen to give recommendations of the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this hotel/apartments to anyone. Car is essential as it is a bit far from everything.

Expect to pay €20 each way for a taxi into Puerto Banus. Nice room - but towels/housekeeping only changed every 3 days. Nice staff very helpful, best to hire a car from main town. Severely lacking in decent food facilities. Wifi available in communal areas only.

The Royal Suite Marbella is a lovely, clean complex. We have stayed several times before however on this occasion there were one or two things that spoilt the trip. There was a constant squealing noise coming from the hot water boiler in the kitchen which didnt get addressed. its also worth bearing in mind there are also very limited cutlery, plates etc. no kettle so you have to boil water in a pan for tea or coffee and only expresso size cups!! also bear in mind that once you've used your quota of towels tough luck!!! you cant have fresh ones.

Hard to Find Getaway
Not very easy to find. My iPhone had no idea where it was. It's quaint in a nice area away from it all, except golf. Make sure you bring your own soap and dish cleaning stuff because it's not provided. If you want coffee in the room, bring your own coffee maker or kettle.

We only stayed a night, the apt did not have any extras: like soap, shampoo (only towels), or salt&pepper, or coffee maker, they expect you to bring evey thing from home, other than 4 pers. dish set and pans. I would recommend it only if you stay more than 2 days. It is far from beach and restaurants.

Great hotel, need a car, almost too quiet!
Lovely hotel. We rented a car which made it really easy, big supermarket just 5 mins away, restaurants and bars within 10 min drive. Puerto Banus is lovely but pricey, the Harbour is great for a wander and a drink taking in the multi million pound yachts and countless Lamborghini's. Benahavis is a MUST for food. Marbella itself is less attractive but fine for a drink. The hotel and pool was very quiet, we normally had the pool to ourselves and never had a problem getting a sun lounger. There aren't many staff but the ones you do occasionally meet are very helpful and polite. Would reccomend this hotel for those who want peace and quiet, if you want a bit of a party it isn't ideal but is fine for a base as a taxi is less that €20 to get to clubs/the strip.

Apartment (in our case 3 bdr) was large, modern, well situated in the complex and well furnished for use. Recommend taking your own kettle (if you want cups of hot drinks), large mugs, dish washing liquid, sponge and towel, own toiletries including soap as these weren't provided. Swimming pool (2) was a good size, well looked after and had plenty of space. The usual issue with there being a shortage of loungers meant residents tended to reserve their chair first thing in the morning by laying down the towel and then using it hours later. Wifi for us was an issue as it couldn't be relied upon being available. Gym was poor and not inviting to use. Location of the hotel which is a pretty location but is nowhere near any amenities - shops, restaurants, beach - by walking. A car is a necessity as these are 2k away at least. The hotel is a great base for exploring Andalucía by car.

What a find!!! Beautiful surroundings, peaceful, well kept, clean and wishing we were still there! A car is a must to be able to experience the area and to shop in the supermarket. We are definitely going back again. The beaches and markets, shops and buildings are all gorgeous.

Safe not working in room offered another room on monday safe no good either kept awake till 3am with music and noise on the first night. unsupervised noisy children in the pool most of the time and even when the pool closed at 9.00pm as for trip adviser restaurant''s do not take any notice they are further away than you think and you will need a car

The suites is beautiful. The facilities are world class. However, I stayed for 7days. The cleaners visited the apartment for cleaning twice. What they did was extremely annoying. The bed linens were not changed. The kitchen and the living room were not swept or clean for the 7 days. They were no cleaning provision for one to undertake the cleaning. The lady doing the cleaning are really annoying. They are not doing any cleaning. At least not in the apartment that I stayed for 7 days.

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment and was very surprised at the size of the place it was huge and very clean. We also had 3 very big balconies. The only 2 things that let the place down was that the restaurant was very limited for breakfast and it closed at 1pm and didn't reopen until 6pm and the resort is a good 10 min drive from anything so you need to stock up on food and the other downfall is that we arrived at 1am and the reception was closed and there was just a piece of paper stuck to the door with a mobile number on it so we tried to call it and eventually got through after 3 attempts!!! And then a security guard turned up about 10 mins later to check us in! Not ideal!!!
