“Fantastic hotel, great location, within walking distance to all attractions, would definately go back”
hotel very modern and clean, rooms are large with good decor, location perfect and within walking distance to town/train station and shopping malls. Beach is about 15minutes walk. Staff speak little english but are very helpful, Great value for money would definately recommend it!!
“Excellent hotel in an ideal location”
I chose the hotel after looking at other reviews and the map location. It was ideally situated halfway between both the bus and train stations (both at the same location) and the centre of town - less than 10 minutes easy direct walk to one or the other. The staff were always very helpful and were able to direct me to where I wanted to go. The room was clean and comfortable and if you are in the front as I was, a view into town and down to the docks. There are cafes for breakfast, a post office, travel agent for excursions, supermarkets and shops nearby and it looks like the metro extension will have a stop a minutes walk from the hotel. The only negative for me was the price of the hotel breakfast which I only had once and which was paid separately. All in all for me an excellent hotel in an ideal location.
“Smart and friendly!”
Although in Central Malaga, the hotel is unknown to cab drivers,as it is very new! The reception staff had fair to good English, and offered to show me places on the map, and to make free phone calls for enquiries. I asked for a room facing the rear and so had plenty of peace and quiet, and blackout curtains. Being winter, you need the heater on, but make sure you turn it on early by remote--it takes some time to be effective. The hotel is not far from one of the tourist kiosks and a stop for the open-top tour bus, which should pass by each 30 minutes. The bar-restaurant attached has generally friendly staff, and can dish up some affordable tasty food. But the level of smoking there can become intolerable, as it is in most bars--the local council appears to have "modified" an earlier national smoking ban! A prepaid full breakfast is far too expensive, so simply order a few items separately---fresh juice, ham and cheese croissant and coffee were dirt cheap! It is a full 10 to 15 minute walk to the train and bus stations (for travelling to narby towns), but with light luggage in good weather you might manage it.
“Not great, but not bad”
I was somewhat disappointed as the hotel did not strike me as a 5* hotel. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful. I don't know if they spoke English or not as they let me practice my Spanish. There are good restaurants in the area and it is within walking distance of the center of town and convenient to get to by bus from the airport. It's less than a block from where the bus drops you off. The department store, Corte Ingles, is just a couple of blocks away. The hotel itself was quiet. While I did not dislike the hotel, I think I will probably look for a different one should I return to Malaga
“Let itself down”
We have just come back from a 1 week stay here. Although it does score highly as it has lovely clean and large rooms it did let it self down. There was no terrace (locked) or outdoor spa (not built yet)as advertised. Also the wireless internet was broken. We got the impression that wasn't installed yet rather than broken.
“Good Hotel for this price”
Nice Hotel, just a few minutes by foot to downtown
“A good price”
Hotel is in a good location for train/bus station which are only a two minute walk. Also cross the street and you are the start of the city centre. I didn't like having to wait everytime for the receptionist to open the door but based on the price it is a good hotel.
