the property is over 50 years old ... although the rooms are clean they could use some updating. What I miss most is there is no coffee in the rooms.

3rd time of staying. Alwas avery warm welcome. Hotel rooms big and very clean as is all the hotel. Have recommend to many friends who have now also stayed several times

The location is idea on the beach front and a short walk to the marina with ideal little boutique shops. Staff so friendly and food for every ones tastes.

Rooms need upgrading. Requested a walk in shower due to mobility issues & on check in Man laughed at me. Very rude. My husband’s Birthday and our anniversary the only hotel we have stayed in that did not acknowledge it. Very convenient to promenade. Bar staff at pool ignored me for 10 minutes and I just walked away 3 other people in Queue.

The hotel is getting a bit dated the breakfast was not hot and the coffee machine are useless . There is a lot of choice if you like cake cheese and large lumps of fruit . Didn’t like the balcony in the room felt dangerous and a long way down .

Great spot, would absolutely return
Beautiful beachfront hotel. Everything you need, immaculately clean, parking right next door, easy to find in our rental car. Safe and quiet. Gorgeous pool area and good selection of food, with the beach strip right outside the door. Decent breakfast and friendly staff, couldn't ask for more!

The Hotel is Beautiful, Our room had partial view but we could see the beach very well. Our Bed was massive abd very comfy. some off the older morning staff were very Grumpy, Breakfast was Wonderful with a huge selection, The pool area looks over the beach which is on the door step. lovely potion to walk along the sea front . will Definitely stay there again. NEGATIVE no iron or Board (they have a laundry service which isnt cheap) and no Tea/coffee facilities other wise we would absolutely Recommend!!!

Holiday low point
A typical 70s hotel and was probely ok in the 70s , but is not up to modern standards, the room was exceptionally clean but very dated and in need of refreshment. The pool area was poor with uneven Brocken tiles and steps every where, the pool was not big enough to serve the two hotels that it does and there were insufficient sun beds. The pool bar was extortionate expensive and full of our friends from the farther land! . If you want style, comfort , and relaxation - look elsewhere.

Smelly, dark dingy room. Uncomfortable bed. One night stay which was enough. Arrived at 1100 and not an inch to spare around the pool. It’s far too small for the size of the hotel. Can’t imagine how awful would have been in the height of summer. Much safer by the beach. However, when choosing a hotel you go for the amenities and don’t therefore expect to have to go elsewhere and pay. Food in the restaurant average.

Older building. Needs updating, modernizing. The railing on one side of the balcony was unstable. Nice pool. Centrally located. Nice restaurant by the pool with complimentary entertainment / Flamenco show. Huge breakfast buffet. Good overall.

Great hotel, Good location close to bars and restaurants, What lets it down is the staff and service, Most staff were very unhelpful and not interested in customers felt like they were all under pressure!! Young waiter in the restaurant was friendly as was the older lady with glasses short brown hair in reception.

We were at Amaragua during the second half of January when things are quiet and the guests are mostly retired Scandinavians. We were most satisfied with all aspects of the hotel service. Good buss connections to towns on the coast. Highly recommended.

This is an old hotel full of quaint furnishings in main areas. Our room had a fabulous side sea and mountain view but the decor was dark and drab, although spotlessly clean, maid service everyday. Agree with previous reviews about the food being cold in the restaurant, I spoke with the restaurant manager and they are well aware that this is a problem for some guests, but the food was excellent, and the restaurant was always busy. Excellent position on seafront, we would like to return but would stay bed and breakfast, not half board.

Old room and not comfortable bed but good food
I didn’t like the room and bed. Safe was not free. Shower was very small and water was leaking out Food was good and they arranged a wonderful gala dinner for Christmas Day. They also entertained guests by flamingo dance one night which was very good.
