Basic but value for money.
Studio apartment was as you'd expect, furniture and fittings were OK. Bathroom very basic. Did not use the kitchen facilities other than the fridge. Maids came twice daily and we're pleasant and efficient.

Okay Apartment
Broken window, some beds did not have bed sheets, no parking what so ever around the area. Toilet had a very funky smell! felt like it had not been occupied in a very long time! Pretty disappointing! Only positive thing is they let us check in early.

Although we do not have our own parking, you can park in almost all streets of the village for free and It is understandable that a tourist location will be full of cars during its peack season. Good Apartment in a great location
We spent a 10 days in one bedroomed La Fonda apartment, room 69. We found the apartment to be basic, but clean and spacious and everything works wifi, air conditioning, functiioning kitchen with fridge/freezer, micro weave, kettle, HD TV ( with one English Channel) and toaster. We had two small balconies which you could stand on to look out and use to dry towels and beach wear etc. The shower could be a bit better though and the changing the towels. We had to go to the office one day when our towels hadn’t been changed and to be fair they delivered some new ones with in 20 mins. The pueblo is a beautiful white washed town with amazing views and lots of really nice restaurants to choose from, we liked the Lilcac Tree and el Muno but there are loads of good ones. You can catch buses to Benalmádena takes about 15 mins and Mijas about 20 mins for 1.65 or buy a bus card from the tobacconist which works out much cheaper. Also buses go to other resorts and you can use the train station there, to travel even further a field. I would definately recommend the Village and location if your looking for a relaxing holiday.

The apartments are functionally furnished. However, the walls provide minimal sound proofing and you hear any other guests entering and leaving their apartments, plus voices and sounds from neighbouring apartments. I received several bed bug bites and on closer inspection I saw several bugs. I photographed them and also the bites on my hand (approx 8-10 bites) When speaking with the management company in a separate building, the woman laughed and said she would tell 'the lady'.... No offer of apology or taken seriously.

We thoroughly checked the bed after your departure and no signs of any bugs were found. You stayed with us for several nights and only had trouble during the last night, if any bed bugs were present we dont think they would wait for the last night to bite you. Also we never received any complaints about bed bugs from any of the previous guests that stayed in your apartment. We are sorry that you had trouble with the noise, but thin walls is a very common feature of modern buildings in Spain. Best regards La Fonda Apartments

Nice apartments in the centre of the old town.
The apartments are in a good, central location, close to many bars, restaurants and shops. There are two supermarkets very conveniently located close by. Maid service is indeed "limited". We stayed 5 nights, with maid service provided only once: bin emptied, and towels changed. That was it. Nothing more. We last stayed in these apartments in November 2014, in the block on the opposite side of the road. The hideously uncomfortable bed was no different there. The ill-fitting bedding is fine if nobody is actually in the bed!!! Hard bed with hard pillows. But, we use the place as a base only.The two-seater sofa just about accommodated one and a half of us, and we aren't that fat!!!!!! The flimsy shower curtain is too short, causing excess water to accumulate on the bathroom floor, and the curtain sticks to the body. Not too pleasant. Very basic, but can't beat the location, which is the main attraction. Safety deposit box was charged at a rate of 20 Euros for our 5-night stay, which was surprisingly refunded in full on departure - therefore free of charge, which was nice.

Relaxing stay in Pueblo village.
Very easy to find Apt La Fonda, great location and effortless check-in. Tranquil and relaxing stay in heart of village so close to restaurants, shops, bars. Very comfortable apartment, would love to make a return visit.

Nice apartment close to shops, bars & restaurants.
The apartments are located a short walk away from the reception, in a pleasant side road. Remember to contact reception before your holiday if you will be arriving at a time outside reception hours, so that you can ensure access to your accommodation. The apartment was a good size with a well-equipped kitchen. The bed was rather on the small side and some extra bedding would have been welcome, as it dropped colder at night time. The maid service was rather erratic; our towels were not changed until 5 days into our holiday, yet when I rang reception to query this, I was told that the maid had noted they had already been changed the day before. Possibly just an error on her part. There are plenty of bars / restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, including a supermarket. There are some lovely old squares with fountains. The old town is very unspoilt, with beautiful views across the sea. A lovely, relaxing location.

In need of an upgrade and professional clean
The tiles in the kitchen under the work top, filthy. Dirty pots in cupboard. Burned frying pans. Burned worktops with holes. Damaged tiles and kitchen cupboard damaged. Toilet hinge broken on lid. Old uncomfortable sofa with broken arm. Twin beds with matresses smaller than the frames. Headboards rattle as they are so loose. Poor wifi reception. Very scruffy apartment. Not worth £170.47 for 1 week in March.

Good apartment in the town of Benelmadena
Good apartment in the town of Benelmadena, away from the Fish n Chippy beach area at Torremolinos. The town had a very genuine Spanish feel and the apartment was down a small picturesque side street next to the public square. It was very quiet, away from the road and parking was plentiful near the La Fonda office in the town. The apartment was the perfect size for a couple, although we had twin beds not a double. The kitchen was good and had a coffee maker and two hobs and a microwave. The bathroom was OK, albeit smelling of drains occasionally but the shower was very good. Overall we were pleased with the location, value for money and facilities at the apartment. It's perfect if you want to get out and explore Andalucia.

The Rooms were pathetic, We were looking to stay in Malaga, but ended up staying in Benalmedana, which is 40 kms away. It is an isolated area with practically nothing to do. People not tourist friendly at all !

Great location, cheap apartments in the Pueblo
We stayed at la Fonda for 2 nights over the w'kend. We live fairly local, but wanted to explore Benalmadena. The ap'tments we stayed at were not at the main block - but located very centrally in Pueblo Benalmadena (Apt 85). Ap'tment itself was spotlessly clean, if a little dated (though someone had smoked heavily in there beforehand). But it had enough utensils for 3 people, a odd mix of cups and glasses, kettle, toaster, microwave - everything you'd expect. Fold out bed in the front room. BUT, we were a couple so had no use for that. Lots of little shops nearby that open early and a few small bars in the Pueblo itself. Located in the old town parking is a challenge. We came out of season and struggled to find anywhere nearby that was free. Ended up parking most days up the hill from the La Fonda reception. Cannot fault the customer service of La Fonda - we arrived much later than planned, and despite not having the obligatory 48 hour warning, they accomodated us so we could get to the apartment easily at a very late time. Also cannot fault Expedia. La Fonda's address does not show up in Google, so we ended up at the wrong end of Benalmadena trying to find the apartments. After asking a few bars and running round in circles for an hour we called Expedia and they helped direct us over the phone to the apartments. They then called back 30 minutes later to check everything was ok. So, a note to anyone staying here. La Fonda is in the Peublo (Old town) of Benalmadena.

Peace and quiet
We stayed once again at la fonda appartments and loved it, right in the middle of the small village of Pueblo Benalmadena, lovely squares with fountains, great places to eat, all different prices, plenty to see and do, buses every 20 mins and cheap. Would recommend couples only as 10mins by bus to beach and nothing for children to do in the village. We hope to go again next year and meet more friends locally and from abroad.

The appartments were fab, clean, plenty of space, top floors have the balconies, near to all bars and resturants, which were situated in small squares-lovely. We went last week april 2012, weather was fab but still a little chilly at night, bus service was excellent, every 10 mins into benalmadena but only went twice as the village was all we needed at night. Would go there every year loved it. Nothing for children to do mainly adults only, which is what we wanted. try it everyone, you too will love it.

The apartment was spotless, the receptionist very pleasant and location excellent. However this would not suit those wishing to night club etc but for a more relaxing location it was perfect. So not for the typical 18-30 crowd.

Small but perfectly formed!
The one bedroom apartment was as I have said in the title. The only thing we would have liked would have been a balcony, but to be honest it was so cheap. The location was superb and the lady at the La Fonda Apartments reception was EXTREMELY helpful, providing us with a host of useful information. Our apartment was clean on arrival and cleaners did turn up every day, but sometimes all they did was empty the bin!!

Huoneisto kauniissa kylässä
Studio huoneisto oli muuten siisti, mutta astiat olivat suht likaisia, eikä studiossa ollut astianpesuvälineitä. Wi-fi oli todella heikko. Sijainti on loistava,mikäli ei kaipaa rannan läheisyyttä ja haluaa majoittua kauniissa kylässä. Äänieristys on olematon, mutta ihan hyvä valinta noin kaikenkaikkiaan.

Middel lejllighed med meget god beliggenhed.
Det var en fin lejlighed, dog var sengen ikke så komfortabel og varmeapparatet virkede ikke ordenligt. Desværre var det ikke så varmt i den uge, jeg var afsted, så lidt koldt om natten. Flisegulvet er meget koldt. Der er myrere indenfor, så man skal passe på med at tabe noget sødt på gulvet og huske at tørre ordenligt op. Ellers meget god beliggenhed, tæt på offentlig transport og man er tæt på de lokale i modsætning til hoteller ved stranden.

Hvis alt ikke virker, bedes du kontakte receptionen, så vi kan ordne det. Myrerne er et problem i hele Spanien i løbet af denne tid, du kan ikke gøre noget, undtagen at forlade mad på jorden. Mørkt og slidt værelse i et skønt kvarter
Ankom til et lukket kontor ( helligdag) men fik, efter opkald til telefonnummeret i vinduet ) at vide at en kuvert med nøgle, samt fin rutebeskrivelse lå i postkassen foran kontoret. Fin service. Værelset er meget slidt, men der er det der skal bruges og der skiftes håndklæder hver anden dag. Beliggenheden er super fin, midt i et hyggeligt, roligt og smukt kvarter. Jeg manglede at kunne sidde ude, der er kun en fransk altan, hvor man føler sig meget udstillet hvis persiennen rulles op, så værelset føles mørkt og lidt indelukket.

Funcional y cómodo
Elegimos este alojamiento ya que estábamos asistiendo a un evento de atletismo muy concurrido en Málaga y queríamos un lugar tranquilo para escapar al final de cada día. Esta ubicación encajaba a la perfección, con la ventaja adicional de tener algunos buenos lugares para comer localmente. Estacionar en el pueblo es un reto, pero una vez que encontramos el estacionamiento cerca del auditorio, no tuvimos problemas. El apartamento era relativamente básico pero bastante cómodo y lo limpiaban a un nivel muy alto, con toallas, etc., cambiaban cada tres días. Estaba en la planta baja que daba a la calle, por lo que a veces había algo de ruido de los transeúntes. Hubo un amplio espacio en el piso para poder colocar mi colchoneta para hacer estiramientos previos a la carrera antes de mis competiciones de atletismo. La ducha no sería lo suficientemente grande para una persona muy grande Tuvimos algunos problemas iniciales con el WiFi, pero se resolvieron con bastante rapidez. Me hubiera gustado tener una segunda mesita de noche y una lámpara.Y la ducha no sera bastante grande por personas

Unterkunft hoch über der Stadt
Die Appartements vom La Fonda liegen in Benalmadena Pueblo, einem alten Stadtteil des Stadtgebietes hoch über der Küste. Das ist sehr angenehm, weil man schöne Blicke in die Tiefe hat und nicht zwischen den Betonburgen in Strandnähe, sondern im Umfeld hübscher kleiner Häuser wohnt. Trotzdem ist man von der Außenwelt nicht abgeschnitten. Es gibt den ÖPNV, Bäcker, Kaufhallen und anheimelnde Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Einen Mietwagen empfehlen wir sehr, wenn man, wie wir, das Appartment als "Basislager" für die Erkundung der Sehenswürdigkeiten von Andalusien nutzen will.

Trevlig by på sluttningen med smala gränder och litet bageri flera matställen ,café och barer. Fördel att bil, men svårt med parkering, en utmaning med branta backar.

Rummet var gammalt och skabbigt,när vi kom (kl1900)så stog ett fönster helt öppet och det var kanske 8grader i rummet...Efter att ha stängt det och gott ut och käkat och kommit tillbaks så förstod vi varför det stått öppet ""det luktade avlopp i hela rummet""ingen hade förstått att det var dåligt om vatten i vattenlåsen!!!Generellt Smutsigt och slitet,liten dusch 60x60cm,bullrig kyl,bullrigt trapphus.....

Paikka on kiva, aitoa espanjalaista tunnelmaa
Huoneistissa aivan hirveä haju, kylpyhuoneessa jotain todella mätää. Ilmoitin asiasta mutta ei taphatunut mitään. Kahden viikon aikahuoneistoa ei siivottu kertaakaan.

Opholdet var fint, lejligheden var den standart som jeg havde forventet udfra de billeder som jeg havde set, men madrasserne burde udskiftes.

hotelli hyvällä paikalla lähellä kylän keskusta.
Meillä keittiöllinen huone. Siisti ja toimiva. Lämpöpuhallin toimi, mutta nosti pölyä ilmaan. Vanhanaikaisista petivaatteista huolimatta pidin paikasta. Siivoojat ystävällisiä. Paikka sopi meille hyvin. Vuokra-autolla oli helppo lähteä joka päivä eri kyliin ja paikkoihin. Pieni kylä jossa kaikki palvelut lähellä. Maisemat hienot alas rantaan. Autolle ilmainen parkkipaikka melko lähellä.

Appartement für Kurzurlaub
Unsere Maße (190cm) und Gewichte passten nicht mit dem erstem Zimmer zusammen. Die Dame der Rezeption war bemüht: Da das franz.Bett für 2 Personen in Länge und Breite nicht ausreichte, bekamen wir erst ein Beistellbett, dann für die 3. Nacht ein anderes Zimmer mit 2 Schrankbetten. Dieses Zimmer war sehr hellhörig und das Bad ließ zu wünschen übrig - schade.
