“Recommened”

The hotel is just one block from the metro, and a few blocks from Paseo de Castellano where you will find a numerous bars and cafes. Actually there are some tapas bars etc dotted around the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel itself is unassuming but very clean and the room we had very a nice size with comfortable beds. There was a TV with cable (we watched CNN international). Overall, a pleasant stay. Recommended.

“Below Average”

The hotel is in a very convenient location. 2 blocks from the Metro and short distance to downtown. Worked out well for us when we were getting up before the sun rose to explore the area. The area is very noisy at night though. I never complain about noise but the people on the street kept me up two nights in a row until 5am. That is with the windows closed and not facing the main street. The car noise was ok and to be expected, it was the people partying in the neighboring establishments that made it difficult. Beds are uncomfortable. Hotel staff was above average but not great. Won't stay there again nor would I recommend it. Too pricey for what you get.
