“Location, location, location”

By many this hotel would be described as basic. The hotel definitely needs new carpets and a fresh coat of paint throughout. The room was comfortable enough (beds were over hard) but far from luxurious. The tv was barely watchable and the air conditioning was rather feeble. Having said all this the hotel is in a wonderful position. Close by is the metro station Principe Pio whose trains give easy access to the whole of Madrid. The hotel faces a large modern shopping centre which contains a varied assortment of shops and restaurants. The hotel is also close to a number of bars, cafes and banks etc. The royal palace is within easy walking distance as is the river and a number of parks. In summary, if you can get a good deal with this hotel and if you do not want to spend too much time in your room, this hotel is certainly worth considering.

Not quite an option to spend time there. Madrid is a fantastic city but the hotel was a complete wreck. There are some reviews which are saying that it is a 60th hotel (as age), it is true, the bathroom is dated by then and also some furnitures. There are crucks in the walls and they are trying to cover them with paintings and furniture. Even worst the soundproof does not exist as long as you can hear your neighbors kissing, I don;t even want to mention sounds from next door bathroom. Definetelly you can find better hotels at this rate and please don't do the same mistake as I did.
