“Outstanding staff”

We stayed in the Regina for 3 days at the beginning of our trip to Spain and for the last 3 days of our trip. We were impressed with the staff who were always pleasant and helpful. In addition, while spending some waiting time in the lobby, I was impressed with how they treated each other.....from the bellman, to the waiter to the desk clerk and manager, they took time to greet each other in the friendliest, most caring manner. The hotel was immaculate. the older rooms..although spacious and extremely well lit, were interior rooms.....and very dark. The new, renovated rooms were smaller but modern with a big window. The small cafeteria was great....location outstanding. Would stay again.

“My BEST hotel experience.”

Perfect location (metro stop in front; Starbucks 2 doors down; Puerto del Sol one block away -- what more can you ask for). Room simple decor, but pleasant and clean. Large bed very comfortable. Hotel staff very accommodating. Good breakfast. If I were to be so lucky as to visit Madrid as often as I could, I would ALWAYS stay in this hotel. Thank you Hotel Regina!!!

“Great hotel in a good location at a reasonable price”

The Regina is conveniently located right across the street from the Sevilla metro stop and a few blocks from the Puerta del Sol. The room was ready for an early check in as requested. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large with a double sink. There was a flat screen TV but no English channels. The air conditioner worked well. The hotel had a restaurant and a smaller cafe. I had a light breakfast in the Cafe. Service from the desk personnel was courteous and helpful. The Regina is within walking distance of many Madrid attractions. I would recommend it.

“Great location and great experience!”

If you want to get the most from your money, you should consider this hotel. The location is great, the staff is really helpful and the hotel conditions are really good also. Maybe the only flaw is the room space but it was almost the same thing all over Europe... and after a trip visiting 7 cities, Hotel Regina had the more comfortable room in comparison. It is very close to the most important city “must-to-see” places, in the middle of city centre and just crossing the street from an underground station (Sevilla station). When I go back to Madrid, I will definitively stay at Regina Hotel.

“Location Can't Be Bettered”

Superbly located hotel with impresive front of house/attached restaurant with locals constantly chowing down on paella and pastries which is always a good sign. Rooms scrupulously clean and everything in good working order. English spoken by concierge/porter which may disappoint those looking to try out their Spanish. Ten minutes walk and you are at the Prado, five minutes to Gran Via and shopping if you take a right instead when you exit the hotel. Only quibble is exceptionally noisy housekeeping staff who seem to start at about 05:30 and on the last night, when I optimistically went to bed early to get a good night's sleep before early flight, they were still clattering about and shouting at about 22:15. Not conducive to relaxation and while I warm to my topic, the soundproofing is poor and doors can apparently only be closed by slamming them shut. However, chances are you will be too busy scooting about this beautiful city ogling architecture, eating fresh seafood and revelling in the relaxed pace of life to let this trivial detail upset you..

“Will certainly return to Hotel Regina - wonderful atmosphere”

As always, one can always rely on Expedia to get the best possible hotel within one's price range. Hotel Regina is a warm, friendly, lively hotel which is extremely efficiently run. The bedrooms are spotless and comfortable. The front of house staff at Reception were extremely helpful with our questions and requests. Can certainly highly recommend Hotel Regina.

“Regina Hotel is the best!”

The Regina is a wonderful hotel in a great location. Very spacious rooms, good service and very clean. The hotel couldn't be more convenient for touring the sites in Madrid and for great restaurants. I would definitely go back!

“Excellent location and comfortable hotel.”

I stayed at the Regina for four days and enjoyed it very much. The employees at front desk were very nice and helpful. The cafeteria on site is quite convenient and its prices quite reasonable. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

“Great Value, Great Location.”

The hotel was great for the price, with some decent sizeable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is of a good quality, although a bit pricy as an extra, but there are lots of cafes nearby that offer a cheaper alternative if you don't want a full breakfast. In terms of quality it did everything you could reasonably expect for the price. The greatest facet though was the hotels location, within easy walking distance of one of Madrids main nightlife areas, offering a huge number of bars and restaurants to choose from in the evening. It's also has a metro station right on the doorstep, making it an ideal location if you want to travel around a wider area of Madrid.
