“grand confort et très bonnes prestations.”
proche des principales attractions touristiques de Madrid avec un hôtel oû la qualité est très satisfaisante.écran plat accès internet salle de bains complète.
“A excellent Choice, will return!”
Only two blocks from the Metro at Plaza de España so getting there (and leaving) is a snap. The staff were helpful and couteous. The room was clean and perfectly quiet and the bed, pillows and linens were excellent; like a dream after a week on the camino de santiago. I must have been given an upgrade since my room had an open air terrace on the top floor. There are numerous options for dining in a two block radius. The neighborhood is also excellent.
“Hotel Grau Madrid: hotel au look ancien”
Excellent, grande chambre avec grande baignoire.
“Good place to stay”
The hotel is located in good area. All shoppings near by, safe, the hotel is very organized.
“Very nice hotel!”
I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and it was a really good experience. everyhing close by, cafes, supermarket, the cinema and the train station. its easy to get to. the staff are very polite and very helpfull, alwasy with a smile in their faces and very informative too! the room was very spacious, with a valcony and everything! the bathroom was massive and me and my girlfriend had room for everything! and the bed was very confortable and massive too. the only downside was that you can sometimes hear other people talking if they are speaking quite loud in the room next to you but that wasn't an issue for us and also the breakfast was quiet expensive. and due to the day that we traveled there was always a group of youths hanging around the coner but they didn't cause any harm. Would i recommend this to other people? YES! would i go back to the same hotel if i go to madrid again? YES!
“Comfortable base for central Madrid”
A comfortable hotel to use as a base for central Madrid. No restaurant (except breakfast), but plenty of places to eat within a short walk. My room had a large balcony that got the late September sun during the day.
“Great location, frindly personal, very clean and comfortabel.”
Highly recomend. You can walk evry where. Staf is verey freindly and helpful. Food is good.
“Most comfortable bed in Madrid”
This hotel is superbly placed for visiting the Palace Real and Old Madrid. Very quietly situated in narrow back street. Ask for room on third floor or above in the front as local traffic noise lower down could be intrusive. The cleanliness and comfort of the room could not be bettered with the feather-filled over mattress making it a pleasure to sleep in. The breakfast is very explensive so we ate out in one of the many close restaurants and would recommend the Irish pub opposite which offered fantastic Spanish food and Cascara (about 50 yards down the road) which was excellent value and good food.
“An enjoyable weekend in Madrid”
The hotel was very pleasant and was clean throughout. We would have no hesitation in stopping again. A few things of note, the breakfast seemed expensive we therefore sorted ourselves out. We never saw the bar area open and therefore have no idea what the service was like. The staff were always pleasant and helpful but were very thin on the ground. The room has no kettle, a very small fridge (mini bar) and the TV service wasn't brilliant, but you don't go to Madrid to watch TV!
“Séjour très agréable”
Hôtel très agréable, bon accueil, déco sympa, chambres confortables (à noter en particulier: la qualité des lits avec ses formidables couettes et oreillers!), bonne situation dans la ville...Rien à redire, à conseiller!

Area:
Plaza de Espana - Royal Palace, Madrid, Spain: At the western end of the arterial Gran Via, Plaza de España is home to Franco-era architecture like the monstrous red and white Edificio España. The nearby Palacio Real (royal palace) was rebuilt in 1764 and is still used for state functions. It contains some wonderfully ornate rooms and is free on Wednesdays to EU citizens (take your passport). Admire the statues in the lovely Sabatini Gardens afterwards.
