“Great hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at the the Ganivet. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful. After travelling for several hours from London to Madrid we really appreciated how close it was to the nearest metro station(just a couple of minutes walk from metro station Toledo) and it only took a few minutes to walk up the street and into the centre of town.
“Great Hotel and Great Location”
The hotel is great and very clean with quite big rooms! The hotel is in a great location, don't bother walking down the hill just walk up towards plaza mayor and it is only a 5 minute walk. Once your there you can go off the side streets and walk straight to the centre of the city, so there really isnt a need to use the metro to get there. Metro stop is very close and easy to use. The chinese restaurant next door is awful!!
“Great Hotel!”
Enjoyed our stay. Great location and very clean room. Little bar downstairs was great and cheap for cafe.
“Ganivet made my stay in Madrid a great one”
From Check-in to check-out it was a 5 star service by all the staff involved. We arrived 1 hour before our check-in time and without any hassle they allowed us the room. This was unexpected and we were over the roof. Rooms were clean and the toilets were superb. As mention in the intro the Metro is very close it was just a hop and a jump. The best thing was the breakfast it was great and the restaurant was very homely. Thanks to Hotel Ganivet my stay in Madrid was pleasant.
“Comfortable Weekend Stay”
My partner and I stayed at Hotel Ganivet for a long weekend in November and really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and easy, the room we were allocated was a comfortable size, very clean with clean towels provided every day. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Madrid for a couple of nights. Its close to the centre of Madrid and in easy reach of metro stations.
“Darling neighborhood - nice hotel”
We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Ganivet. Make sure you ask for a top floor room facing the street as they have terraces!
“Great Service, Great Location, Great rooms!”
We visited this hotel to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday. When we arrived everything was fast and easy. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. We even made a early check in without any additional Costs. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are big and super clean, we had a big safe in the room, big enough to put our passports, ipad, money and other valuables with plenty of space. The safe is a digital one that works with a personal password so you don't have to carry a key and the best part it's FREE. The bathroom was BIG and clean also. We had free wifi in the room that worked perfectly. The only downside is that expedia sold us the hotel including Breakfast Buffet and the hotel didn't include it they said that they never provide free breakfast. The other downside is that there is no minibar in the rooms which could have been very useful. The hotel is close to Puerta de Toledo Metro Station & La Latina Metro station. Walking from Puerta toledo is a uphill walk, while walking from la Latina is a down hill walk. Plaza Mayor is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The street is quiet. There is a madrid vision bus station in a 5 minute walk. The hotel also offers a Airport shuttle to go back to the airport and costs about 6 euros per person. There are 2 small Chinese supermarkets on the side of the hotel where you could buy Water, Gatorade, Coke for a better price than directly to the hotel. In conclusion on my next trip to Madrid I will definitely stay at this hotel.
“Un bon point de chute piur profiter de Madrid”
Hôtel très pratique à proximité du centre historique. parking (payant), très bon rapport qualté-prix.
“Magic Visit”
We were delighted that the hotel was so close to the OnOff City Bus. Being able to buy our tickets at reception was a convenience. We encountered some heavy rain whilst in Madrid and were glad that the hotel offer a buffet supper so we did not have to go out in bad weather. An additional benefit was the sociable atmosphere in the dining room, which added to our enjoyment of the meal. We decided to take the optional breakfast and that gave us a great start to the day. The bar/coffee room was a delight. We loved the hotel and would recommend it to anyone seeking a fairly central position for their visit to Madrid.
