Great central locationPosted 23-Sep-2014
Great size room with a balcony. Roof top bar, close to metro. Hop on hop off bus stop directly out front. Friendly staff. Would stay there again

bit disappointedPosted 22-Sep-2014
Cons: customer service
this is the third time I have stayed at Hotel de las Letras and I expected more. My husband and I were put in an internal room which was noisy from the roof terrace and then the next night from a wedding. I asked to be moved but was told the hotel was full. Also asked for a room with a shower but was given one with bath. Would have expected a better service given that I had been a previous customer

Nice Hotel, Great LocationPosted 21-Sep-2014
Situated on Gran Via, and within walking distance of all central Madrid. No complaints at all. Hotel was clean, comfortable, modern, and the staff were helpful. We had a lovely time.

Perfect location - cool barPosted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: Two pillows each would be nice.
Location: On the Grand Via, 5 mins from everywhere.
Stayed for 3 nights in mid September to see the city and the art galleries. This hotel is very central, the staff are very helpful and we loved the modern architecture. Take advantage of the staff's recommendations for breakfast and go around the corner - for 2 euros you get coffee, toast and tomato and orange juice. Perfect. For tapa we went to both the bars opposite, for shopping, Ale-hop opposite was great for sarongs and hats for the beach. To round off a long day at the Prado, enjoy a glass of cava for 6 euros or the real thing for 9 euros in the hotel bar.

Great location, nice terrace, beautiful building.Posted 19-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, Noise isolation from the busy Gran Via street, near metro, walk to many attractions, restaurants and shops.
Cons: We had to wait extra 20 mins to check in and staff didn't offer us anything ( water, coffee or anything)
Location: You are at the Center of Madrid. Walking, Metro or short Taxi ride to all major must see attractions! (Prado, mayor, palace etc..)
As described by Expedia, no surprises! cant said more about the great location. 5 mins walk to peurto del sol, also close to plaza mayor, santa ana, 5 mins taxi (many available outside of the hotel) to museums, royal palace etc..

In the middle of it all on the Gran ViaPosted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: The room was fantastic and it smelled wonderful. The bathroom was large and had amazing water pressure. Friendly staff.
Cons: The only thing I did not like were the strange shower doors that fold open to accommodate wheelchairs. The trouble is that there was no rubber gasket
This is a wonderful boutique hotel located literally in the middle of Madrid. We got a great corner room with wrap-around balcony. An unexpected upgrade! There is a beautiful terrace patio to have drinks and light bites as well as a 1 Michelin Star chef's restaurant on premises.

Close to CHUECA Area and main attractionsPosted 8-Sep-2014
Cons: Stop closing the rooftop for private parties.
The hotel staff and amenities are very good. Very polite staff and helpful, they speak English although I do speak Spanish. The rooftop terrace/ bar was nice, but closed to often to be enjoyed for private parties, this was annoying since we could not go to the rooftop often. The location was great, near nice restaurants and the gay area, CHEUCA and many major sites. Great place to stay. The breakfast was good as well.

Hotel De Las LetrasPosted 5-Sep-2014
The staff at the receptionist were very friendly and helpful. My room was always clean. The only bad experience was at the bar ( top of the roof), we had two young kids as our waiters, but after our first drink never came back to check if we wanted another drink, or if we were ready for our check, in fact we asked for chips and they never brought to us. Overall I would still go back to this hotel.

Cool little boutique hotel in the heart of the action. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet rooms despite the city street balcony. I would definitely stay here again!
