“Great value”

While the hotel facilities aren't 5-star, but the service, cleanliness, location, and price make it a great pick. Staff was friendly and avavailable at all hours, parking was free, the rate was fantastic, and the location was just what we needed. I worried that the location would lead to too much noise at night, but I didn't notice the hubub outside once we were in our room. I would be likely to stay here again!

“Expensive, needs serious renovation”

Very nice location on State Street. Easy walking distance to all the restaurants and bars, the lake, the concert hall and the museum of art. I had a room facing the street and the noise of the (buzzed/drunken) crowd didn't stop until past 1am. The street cleaning crew started at 7am. Uncomfortable chairs and poor quality of TV reception. The beds were clean and the only complaint I have about the bathroom is that it was very small.
