We are being pursued and slandered by this person who sees fit to try to do his best to destroy the reputation of a trustworthy and honest business involving as much media as possible. Fortunately, most of our esteemed guests and review contributors are not of the same impression, which is a comfort and renders some of the above statements almost farcical. How disappointing to see that, whilst remaining legally within our rights and sticking up for ourselves without bending to threats and blackmail we are subject to rants and raves such as this. The contract entered into at the time of booking with this person was a non-refundable payment and, as we considered his reasons for leaving the hotel early were without cause we opted to maintain "non-refundable" in spite of threats and blackmail. We had a problem with the heating unit which required a part which had to be ordered from mainland Portugal, which, needless to say, took a while. The part arrived last week and was installed on Thursday but it did take some time to warm up to the right temperature.
