Hi. This is actually my first review as I don't ever take the time to write things good or bad but I was really astonished by the customer service at this hotel. At the end of the day this was a 4* hotel with 5*s being few and far between in Canico, so I thought we couldn't go wrong. To keep things brief, everyday there was an ant infestation in our room, on the floors, coming out of a gap in the tiles in the shower and occasionally crawling all over our beds. each time we reported this to reception, they would "send" someone to have a look. But when we cam back to our room still we had this problem. Our sheets were never changed and we were there for 5 days. There was a small vent under our patio door which meant lizards came in and out. Everything took long with this hotel - i.e. I ordered a hair drier for my hair, this came over an hour later when I was fully dressed to go out so I left my hair wet. Also you have to walk through a nest of flies every time we left our room. My partner is not one to complain and neither am I, but on leaving we asked to speak to a manager. We spoke to the Manager on duty (this was on Sunday) who told us the hotel manager will speak to us before we leave on Mon morning. The hotel manager just apologized and said we are aware we have this problem with the rooms in this area. Didn't offer anything, not even to pick up the two bottles of water we had on our tab! Awful customer service and awful room.
