cant wait to get back to this hotel it waas very cleac freindly and had a gtreat time we didnt have enough time
“Okura has done a good job”
Check in and check out were quick and efficient. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient too. The upgrade given to us no doubt helped our impression. The doorman were honest and helpful. We couldn't get a taxi at 7:30 pm to go to The Four Seasons for a dinner; it is a typical Macau problem. They were direct in telling us that it was hopeless to wait for a taxi, and suggested us to take a shuttle to The Venetian where to change to another shuttle to The Four Seasons. Sounded indirect, but worked out ok. My wife was impressed with the Japanese flower arrangement in the lobby. The cafe was well run and food was simple, but good. Considering the general lack of service in Macau, Okura has done well. Minor disappointment: some of the the furniture were not well made and the up keep was poor. The desk chair and the drawer at desk were damaged. Walking distance to Taipa Village is a plus. Enjoyed our short walk there for lunch, away from the artificial environment of The Venetian and Galaxy. The Galaxy complex is however small with limited entertainment other than gambling.
“Service and quality need to be improved”
The bed is smaller than I expected. When I booked at expedia, it said breakfast and internet are included, but when I went to the restaurant for breakfast, the waiter told me breakfast is not included. I have to show my booking to front desk and took another 20 mins for the hotel to check with its reservation dept. to figure out that the breakfast is included but at the executive floor. However, no one informed me when I checked in. As for internet, although it said free internet connection, the connection quality is poor and require log in every 20 mins. The breakfast buffet is not 4 star hotel quality. only very few dishes to choose from...very dispointed and bad quality. I would suggest you to stay with other hotels in macau.
