“A good choice in Lusaka”

Taj is the best hotel in Lusaka. The Grill Room serves a very decent meal, although the live music should be replaced with a nice selection of almost anything else over the sound system. Internet works poorly, and they sell you blocks of time. You cannot log out and log in again later to use your time, once you log on, the clock runs until the block of time you have purchased has expired. That said, all staff, including IT, were very helpful and accomodating.

“Breakfast is to die for”

The hotel is fine. Rooms are small, but pleasant. Staff is friendly and helpful. Internet in the business room was very slow. Breakfast is fantastic--the best feature of the hotel.

“Excellent Hotel”

The Hotel is situated in a nice area with roads fringed by Jacaranda trees. The service in the hotel was excellent, the staff was everywhere and very attentive. The food was not as good as you would expect by European standards for this type of hotel, but it was perferctly adequate. The biggest problem was the internet access which was very intermittent.

“A good place to recover from the bush experience”

We found the dinner menu and presentation to be a bit out of keeping with the very high standard of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, however.

“Could do better”

checked in at 10 pm and the room was not ready. have to wait for them to arrange a non smoking room but in the end i agreed to take a smoking room. disappointed because the things included in the room booking i.e. bathrobes and slippers are not there. missing soap, shampoos after checking in and i still have to phone and request for one.
