The hotel is excellent and the rooms are well decorated and clean. It is in a lovely village with great well-signposted walks almost outside the door. There is a small kitchen with a fridge available. There are no staff as such and breakfast is in the cafe across the road. If you like a nice quiet place this could be for you. It is in easy reach of Lucca, Barga and Castnovo di Garfarganga.

This is a small B & B, the rooms are basically furnished but spotlessly clean with an unbelievable comfortable bed. Veronica and Paolo the managers/owners were always available by phone and more than helpful. I want to keep this place a secret but that seems a little unfair. I do however recommend that guests make a note of the address as there is no name on the property.

Whilst the hotel itself was a little dated in decoration, it was impeccably clean. Staff were kind and helpful, and their restaurant recommendations were spot on. We were able to walk all over this lovely old town. The roof has a covered patio area and the views are incredible.

Well-equipped apartment that's perfect if you want something bigger than a hotel room, or with better facilities for cooking, relaxing, etc.
The manager was very welcoming, e-mailing me the day before to arrange a time to drop off the key (and arriving promptly at that time), and happy to answer any questions.
The apartment is on the fourth floor, with a lift (elevator) to the third floor, but it does need climbing a short flight of steps to the door - so will be difficult for some people.
The apartment itself is clean and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, so it's perfect for eating in if you want it.
It's in a great location (about 15-20 minute walk from the train station), walking distance from all the main sights in Lucca.
Internet access is included, but be warned that it's not guaranteed because it's a capped download per month. So if the previous guests have used it all up, you might be out of luck! So the property does ask you politely to limit your use and be considerate of others - but of course they can't enforce what previous guests do. While I was there, there was no problem at all.
Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay there again if I return to Lucca.

we arrived late at night and left after breakfast.... very limited experience!
location is great (sea front but surrounded by gardens), staff very courteous and helpful, room spotless and pretty, breakfast very good
Would have been interesting to explore hotel grounds: we saw neo-gothic constructions probably from the 19thC or early 20thC (church, "castle",...)

We liked staying at this B&B and found Rita and her mother to be very helpful. We had a whole suite to ourselves at a very reasonable rate. The suite was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast was the usual European continental breakfast. The walk to the walled city was about 15 minutes. It was along a fairly busy street with little sidewalk, but doable. Parking was free. Rita said they had wifi, but we could not get it to work. The TV worked fine.
