"Great downtown hotel!"
We stayed here during the summer festival and Paul at the front desk was so very helpful! The hotel is on a busy Main Street with lots of shops and great food nearby. We would stay here again for sure!

"Walking distance to Old Quebec"
We went to Quebec City to experience the history, architecture and culture of Old Quebec. The European flavour attracted me within the confines of my own country. Previously I heard that if you didn't attempt speaking French, people of Quebec City would not help. I found the people extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel staff were very accommodating. We stayed at Best Western. A few challenges occurred with the cleaning staff but overall a great experience and very close to many amenities. It always takes a while to acclimatize yourself and when you do, it is usually time to go home. One unique experience we enjoyed was painting our own wine glasses. My wife was looking for ceramic wine glasses for a long time and low and behold it was just around the corner. Also, you can make your own poutine at Poutineville. C'est magnifique!

"Basic, no frills hotel in excellent location"
The hotel looks very dated. Our room did not have a bathroom (some rooms do have their own bathrooms though). Having said that the stuff was very nice, the room and the hotel was clean, the location is unbeatable, breakfast was good and the price was reasonable. This is good choice for travelers on a budget looking to stay short walking distance from Old Quebec.

"Wonderful hotel, convenient location"
When I first saw this location on Expedia, honestly, I was a bit hesitant, the photos quickly changed my opinion, and I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed, the hotel room we had was wonderfully renovated, the furniture was comfortable, the appliances are high mid end and included everything you could want, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave. The beds are firm, but for myself that's not a problem, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the shower had a rainfall water head as well as a handheld the tub itself was deep enough to soak in, a fact my wife and daughter loved. The staff was courteous and friendly which to me is always a plus. The only criticisms I have, the bedrooms don't have doors, they're equipped with blackout curtains, so if "locked out" privacy is what you're in for, it could be considered an issue, for us it wasn't, and the ventilation system was a bit inadequate, the living room, where the AC unit is (Ductless Gree unit) was a nice 20 degrees, where the bedrooms averaged 23-24 degrees. On a hot day, I could see it being a problem. As for location, there is a Metro grocery store about 5 minutes walk away, and is nearly directly across the street from a Poutineville and the champagne choclaterie, the train and bus terminals are about 10 minutes by foot, so it's very conveniently located. For myself and my family we will definitely return on our next trip to Quebec city, and would like to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful staff again.
