“Would Definitely Recommend”
The hotel was really nice, in a perfect location for visitors to the Grotto. Just a walk down the street with souvenir shops and restaurants everywhere. Bus stop at the corner. Little area to sit out and relax on your return. Nice view from the terrace. Rooms comfortable, nice lobby area.
“Wonderful hotel, gorgeous location, friendly and helpful service”
This hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. Had a fantastic room overlooking the river - breathtaking views! Two minute walk to the grotto. Dining at the hotel was convenient and tasty. And upon our check out - we received advice that our flight to Paris was cancelled. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful in identifying alternative arrangements for us to return to Paris that night (as was our taxi driver who arrived to collect us). I would definitely stay at Hotel La Solitude again!
“hotel très agréable”
Un passage très agréable dans ce magnifique hôtel . On peut profiter de la piscine et de la terrasse au 7e étage, d'où la vue est superbe. L'hôtel est idéalement situé au coeur d'une rue passante (dans une impasse), à deux pas de la basilique. je le recommande.
“Does the job !”
We stayed as a base for Liverpool not being able stay there as it was grand national weekend. The park inn did the job for us. Comfortable if uninspiring rooms. A pretty good breakfast thrown in for the room price. A ten minute walk to the train station and a £3.50 return train into Liverpool. Trains every half hour with the latest back at 11 from lime street Liverpool.
“Good Location, Friendly Staff”
Nice location, friendly staff, clean, but not a JW Marriott.
“Too loud at night, but close to important sites.”
Upon arrival surprised that my companion and I were directed to the small addition of the hotel and not the main hotel. Had to go into separate entrance and staff was not very helpful. Rooms were clean. My room was across night club and had to close window at night due to loud noise and music. Otherwise, the hotel location was great since it was near to the important sites. I would probably look for another hotel if I go to Lourdes again.

Petit-déjeuner cher (10€) pour la prestation offerte (pas vraiment 3*). Négligence et retard pour remplacer un téléviseur défaillant. Voyageurs individuels: préférez la Brasserie (menus de qualité à prix très corrects, personnels très accueillants).
“Lourdes Break”
We were allocated a newly refurbished room in the wing overlooking the river. The room was very well fitted and the decoration very pleasant. The location however meant that we could not open the curtains as the restaurant next door had people in position looking directly into the room. The downside was that a very noisy party of youths from Southern England had to be told twice to be quiet at 1:30 AM.My wife called reception 3 times and did not get an answer. The Hotel Manager sincerely apologised and said he would make an alteration to our bil, he did not! The garage is the only place to leave your car, but is very tight, and costs a ridiculous 12 Euro per night. Perhaps that could have been the "adjustment" the manager should have considered.Glad we were there for only 2 nights, as I would have reconsidered staying if our term was a week. I cannot fault the managers interpersonal skill he was very fluent,, and very polite, however some gesture would have been nice.
