“excellentplace for famoilies”

Stayed in a family suite wuth two interconnected rooms. Excvelllent standard. Very central and close to the basilica.

“Very close to Grotto”

A very comfortable hotel only two minutes walk from the grotto entrance. Free car parking is provided nearby (3 minutes walk). Staff were very helpful on every occasion we have used them. Meals are basic but adequate and good value for money and the room service could not be faulted. The only drawback is that the streets outside are rather noisy until midnight and again early in the morning as the street cleaners went about their work.

“Can do better”

Decor of the hotel itself is excellent, and the rooms have just been renovated to a very good standard. The problem we had is the hotel is understaffed at present, so the simple things are not getting done properly yet: no directories in the room listing services, no glasses in the room, unstocked minibar and so forth. The lack of staff made getting service tricky at times - for example breakfast in the room ordered for 8am had not arrived by twenty to nine, so we gave up chasing and went out for breakfast instead. Hopefully these are things they can iron out - I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the problems we experienced were down to the refurbishment, as opposed their thinking they can get away with trading off their reputation
