“Brand New!”
I stayed here one night for a convention. It is a nice new Basic hotel. The attached Sports bar restaurant had a good breakfast and good service too. There is an Outback steakhouse very close and a Mexican restaurant too. The rooms are rather basic, with contemporary decor and they do have LCD TVs. I would stay there again as a first choice.
“Nice place to stay.”
Rooms like nice. The only issue is you can hear other rooms a bit. Everything is very clean and the staff is real nice. No other complaints at all.
“Very good hotel”
We had excellent staff. Very friendly. Restaurant meal was very good. Wait staff very attentive. Food was very good. Rooms were very nice. The pool was very clean but too cold to actually swim. Would recommend this hotel and would use it again if I am looking for a hotel in Louisvill KY.
“Beautiful room-can't wait to go back!”
The entire hotel was beautiful, from the lobby to the room. Every part of our stay was fantastic. The only downside was the ice machine didn't work on our floor, so we had to go to the next floor for ice. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We plan on staying here from now on.
“GREAT experience!”
We stayed in this hotel the weekend of the HullabaLOU festival. NO complaints at all. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time, hoping to get our rooms early due to the concerts. The front desk staff was very friendly and gave us rooms right next to each other (we traveled w/ another couple). The hotel lobby was very nice, very clean. The rooms were great. This is the best Holiday Inn I have ever been in. I typically hate staying in hotels for fear of it not being clean. I believe this is a fairly new facility and it definitely shows. Everything was immaculate, the bed and pillows were comfortable, etc. Unfortunately, we did not get to try out the attached sports bar but it looked nice! We will be staying here again for HullabaLOU 2011!
“Almost like home”
I was in town for the crazy event known as the Kentucky Derby. The hotel went out of its way to make sure I was well taken care of.
“Nice hotel but over charged”
I booked through Expedia and at the end of my stay i received a bill. I did not order any room service or extras so there should have not been a bill. Since leaving i have tried to contact the hotel 5 times and no one will call me back or dissolve the situation. I now know i should have refused to pay from the very moment i received the bill but i am a passive person and did not want to create a scene.
“All good except for pool!”
We arrived on 10/5 for one night to visit relatives within several hours over the next week. With 2 little girls we booked because it had an indoor pool. It was closed by the HEALTH DEPARTMENT, the staff said because of chemicals but could not tell me specifics. We returned on the 11th for 4 more days in Louisville. Pool still had the HEALTH DEPARTMENT sign up and the the water was extremely murky. Unfortunately, the girls were disappointed and could not swim and we had already pre-paid online, so we were there until the 15th anyways with no pool.
