“Will Definately Go Back”

We love the location, hotel/activity staff and pool/beach area. We did the all-inclusive program which was great. Our only complaint was having to listen to all the used car salesmen give their time share talk every morning while trying to enjoy breakfast. We have been here a few times and this was the first time it was like this. Really took away from relaxed atmosphere.

“Great hotel in great location!”

Hotel was conveniently located with Lover's Beach, marina, and nearby shopping and restaurants. Food was excellent and highly recommend the "all-inclusive" package. Enjoyed nightly entertainment with a variety of food buffets. Beach was exceptionally clean with ample umbrellas and lounge chairs and the hotel had three beautiful swimming pools. We were not really interested in the time-share sales pitch, so we just skipped it upon arrival.

“Very impressed with Hotel Service and Overall Environment”

Villa Del Palmar is a lovely hotel with extremely friendly and responsive service. Our room was a "Junior with Ocean View" and it could not have been a nicer place for our five day stay. The staff keeps the place in a clean, neat and attractive condition at all times - despite the challenges offered by large numbers of children and young adults with limited "housebreaking" levels. The staff was most helpful in helping us arrange excursions and transportation. The Deli cafe has very good food and theminimarket was clean and well-stocked. Cafe Bella California could use some work in their dinner offerings as we did not find their food to be particularly noteworthy. Cafe Tortugas food was somewhat better - but offset by the entertaining nightly shows. However, the hotel is within walking distance of some really good restaurants - i.e. Gardenia, La Golondrina and Marty's La Ricazon Downsides: Our room air conditioner was extremely noisy, however, with our balcony doors open, the room was very comfortable. The concierge's attempts at getting us involved in 'stuff" - i.e. timeshares - was not something we particularly required. during 90% of our stay, the beach was not good for swimming because of the rough surf.

“BEAUTIFUL Mexican Experience!!!”

This is our second visit to Villa del Palmar and we loved it! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and the property is beautiful. We did Not do all inclusive and got a terrific package deal from Milwaukee. Went into town every night for wonderful meals and shopping and felt completely safe. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking value and a beautiful Mexican experience. Beach is not the safest for swimming always and beware of jellyfish occasionally. Not much pressure from vendors or timeshares this trip either which was nice. Would go again!

“Wonderful place to stay in Cabo!!”

We had a wonderful time at Villa del Palmar! First things first...do not stop and talk to anyone in the airport, head straight outside for your shuttle or taxi. The hotel was wonderful, clean, and the staff was polite and ready to cater to your every need. This was our first Mexico trip without all inclusive, and was well worth-it. Each room has a full kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, blender, etc. There is a grocery store and deli across the street to get breakfast and lunch if you don't want a big meal, and liquor store to make your own drinks if you want to save some money. We still liked going to dinner every night and was still much cheaper than going all inclusive. Highly recommend the restaurant in La Estancia...spendy, but best proscuitto wrapped shrimp! Also, the woodfire pizza at Palmar is awesome. Also, we had a great time on the sunset cruise! My husband and dad went fishing and had the restaurant in the marina clean and cook the fish when they returned for lunch...one of the best meals!! There are many wonderful restaurants near the marina to eat and drink, so be sure to take the 15-20 minute walk down the beach to get there. Taxis are $7-13 to get you back to the hotel. The only downsides were that there are many vendors on the beach, but don't let them bother you, just politely say no. Also, you will get a discount on many items if you go through the timeshare orientation, but you are not obligated.

“We'll be back”

My wife and I went to this hotel for our 35th wedding anniversary. This was our first trip to Mexico and I wasn't sure what to expect. I read some of the previous reviews and they were mixed so I hoped that we would get the better end of them. When we walked into our room (One bedroom suite) my jaw literally dropped. The 'apartment' was spacious, clean, well decorated and totally inviting. We opted for the European plan because we wanted to get out and taste the local flavor instead of being cooped up in the resort for the entire stay. Also, we don't drink so the price for the all inclusive was way out of line for just meals. There is a WalMart only 15 minutes away on foot so we stocked up the refrigerator for snacks and lunches. The walk into town was only 15 minutes also. My only complaint is being shuffled over to the concierge who tries to get you to listen to a time share presentation so you can get a discount card. She called our room multiple times and left a note under our door. Expecting it, however, I just didn't answer the phone and ignored the note. That was a minor inconvenience only because I expected it due to the reviews by others. Everything else was superb and we are already looking at going back.

“Great time in Cabo”

We had previously stayed at Villa del Palmar in 2007 and returned because we enjoyed our experience there. A very nice, clean place to stay. Good food at the restaurants although service tended to be slow. All in all it was great, and we plan to return again.
