“True relaxation and beauty”
We went to Cabo for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in early January. The Westin Hotel and Resort, along with its staff, made it a truly memorable occasion. I highly recommend going in January, picture perfect weather and not crowded. Understand, you are not going to walk anywhere at the Westin, except along the beach and around the resort as it is along the Corridor (15 min ride to Cabo San Lucas, 10 min to San Jose del Cabo). We booked a Kayaking trip (they pick you up and drop you off at the Hotel), a Desert 4x4 Safari / Tequila tasting tour (Fantastic) and Sunset Catamaran Cruise (Beautiful) through the Hotel. It was very easy to take the Hotel Van to Cabo San Lucas ($15 round trip) or a Taxi ($20 one way). Cabo San Lucas is the party town, things are more laid back in the traditional Mexican Town of San Jose....GREAT Restaurants in both, hotel helped pick them, as did word of mouth from other guest. We also ate at the Westin several times, food was great. Highly recommend the Beach Club level room with the Breakfast and Cocktails included in the room price. Some write ups claim things are expensive in Cabo, we live in the DC Area and found the prices to be the same as hear, if not cheaper. We would go again in a heart beat. If we took our kids, we may want to stay a little closer to or in Cabo San Lucas....but for a romantic get away.....The Westin was perfect.
“very impressed”
the hotel was very nice and comfortable... restaurants are very expensive eat out if possible!
“Paradise found”
The customer service was amazing. Food was great.
“Cabo Vacation”
The hotel itself was better than I expected. Checking in was no problem but beware of the $200 food and beverage credit. I asked while checking in if it counted towards all meals and was told "yes ma'am it does". When checking out I was told the credit did not count towards breakfast. Glad we didn't eat much for breakfast. When booking they tell you you can ask for an upgrade if available. When asking the frontdesk staff for the upgrade they told us they'll check with housekeeping. We sat for 20 minutes before saying just give us our regular room. The room service food is delicious!! The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable.
“Relaxing in Los Cabos”
From the very start, our stay in Los Cabos was excellent! The hotel, as all the reviews had said, was built into the side of a cliff and the architecture is simply breathtaking. My husband and I were able to capture many beautiful photographs of the ocean and the landscape that have our friends and relatives dying to go to Los Cabos. The margaritas upon arrival are a nice touch, and of course the bellman who takes your bag to your room gives you the informal tour of the hotel and it's amenities. It is a bit of a walk to your room, but it is well worth it, because every room faces the ocean, and because the it is beautiful every step of the way. The sand is raked in beautiful designs everyday as well. There are so many restaurants and bars to choose from as well. You can easily spend a week here at this hotel and not leave the grounds. I also went to the spa and had a massage, while I did not elect to, you can choose to have a massage on the beach for around $150. I was somewhat aprehensive about staying here given some of the reviews, but I am so glad that I did not change our reservations! The Westin Los Cabos is absolutely fabulous!
“Gorgeous Views”
Rooms were fantastic. Entire hotel was very clean. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Great pools and scenery. We were there when hotel was only at 20% capacity. And it was great. However, the hotel is HUGE so if they were at full capacity, it would probably be hard to find a seat around the pool or place to eat, etc.
“would definitely go back”
we had a great time in los cabos. the hotel was fantastic with a great location in the corridor. couldn't have asked for better service at the Westin. would definitely stay there again if we go back to los cabos.
“Good Hotel in the Corridor”
The Westin was a great hotel for comfort - beds were great and the pools on the beach were nice. Restaurants were good but pricey. Transportation to and from hotel (either to airport or Cabo) was tricky, but do-able. Would recommend the local bus as a way to save a lot of money on transportation.
“Stunning architectural gem. Beautiful ocean views”
Beautiful situation, room was very comfortable ( especially the bed). Enjoyed our stay very much. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking as many reviewers have said. Equally, I agree that the food in the hotel is over-priced. Room service was fine but food expensive. Bed extremely comfortable. If you plan to leave hotel then taxis can be expensive. If you like to go in the ocean then it can be difficult due to strong currents and waves, so not ideal location if you must go into the sea. Overall very good experience. Stayed the entire time in the hotel and enjoyed it enormously.
“Recommend highly”
The staff was wonderful and we never had to ask for anything. The room was always made up before we came back from the pool and again in the evening. Had a really great time and would go back in a minute!
