“Beautiful hotel - gorgeous views, and the pool.....”
Grand Mayan Los Cabos is a beautiful hotel. Will definitely recommend it to my friends. Suggest reserving a suite so that one can have some amenities to that of home (coffee maker, fridge, stove). Service was very good, and friendly staff. Gorgeous hotel and the view spetacular.
“Wonderful swiming pools ocean front”
The hotel is very nice, but the meals are very, very, very expensive.
“had a great time”
Very nice hotel. Walked by many of the other hotels in the area and the Gran Mayan seemed like the nicest. Room was very large and nice. hotel was uncrowded, service was very friendly. Also its a neat and, the common areas are beautiful, had no problem just staying at the hotel for the duration of the trip. Only minor complaint would be a lack of dinner options at the hotel, but wasn't a bad thing because it gave us an excuse to go elsewhere. Will be planning a return trip at some point.
“True love in Cabo”
San Jose del Cabo was the perfect destination for our tastes and interests. Theonly mistake we made was agreeing to their sales pitch. We were there from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. before we finally walked. We were actually interested in their offer, but not prepared to buy at the time. We would definitely go back, and might be ready to buy the next time. We had a wonderful time there.
“Expected more”
You should improve the service, it is one of the most important things in a hotel.
“Pools cold including hot tub”
Service and food were great. Pools, however, were cold and the hot tub was barely warm. This problem was brought up to the staff and we heard at least 4 different excuses. We were promised a connecting room with the couple we traveled with which never happened. Would not go back!
“This Resort Needs To Learn What Being A 5 Star Resort Is All About.”
Would not stay here again. This hotel will nickel and dime you for everything. The food was average at best. The service was slow and they add an automatic 15% tip to everything you buy. Defeats the purpose of getting excellent service. Used to be a bartender so I usually tip a minimum of 20%. There wasn't any incentive for superior service, in fact is was slow. This hotel made me feel like just a room number instead of a valued customer. Don't mind paying a premium for anything but service and quality need to match. $8.00 for two cups of coffee in the lobby? I've had the good fortune to stay at some nice hotels and have never been charged that much for coffee. It's usally free inside hotel lobbies. I had a great time staying at the white hotel initials C.A. next door to this one a year ago for about the same price. Unfortuenately they were booked up when I booked this last minute trip. This hotel has a long way to go in order to live up to its star rating.
