“Beautiful Vacation Setting in Cabo San Lucas.”
We were very happy with the beauty of the hotel, the location, the setting and Cabo San Lucas. Highly recommend Pubelo Bonita Sunset. We especially enjoyed LaFrieda restaurant on our last night. Great Trip! Read the reviews on the Time Share people. You get pushed into it at the airport and while you're having breakfast. That was a pain, but we did not go.
“Excellent resort in Cabo San Lucas”
My Husband and I recently stayed at the Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach in Cabo San Lucas to celebrate our Honeymoon. The resort grounds were absolutely stunning. Perched in cliffs alongside the Pacific Ocean, this resort not only was scenic, but very clean with amazing service and amenities. I highly recommend this resort to families and couples looking to relax.
“Great birthday vacation!”
Beautiful hotel. Extremely friendly staff. Too far to walk to downtown. Excursions I booked with Cabo Adventures picked me up at the hotel. Option to shuttle to Pueblo Bonito Rose to swimming beach and walk to downtown.
“Top of the World”
The Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach was just gorgeous! It is built on a cliff and you literally feel like you are at the "top of the world." The highest location is the "sky pool," aptly named. A plus, or minus, could be that it is located absolutely by itself, and you can't even walk anywhere from the hotel. You need to take the free shuttle to their sister hotels, which have city and beach and water sports access. Of course it is a time share, so they are always pushing to get you to a presentation, but honestly, for the 90 mins, it is absolutely worth it! I received several hundred in coupons for the restaurant and spa, which I definitely used. The spa is wonderful, too! Very professional and luxurious. The service is great in every aspect. Everywhere there is anxious to help and wait on you. My only complaint, is that for the quality of hotel, the food was not up to the same standards. It was "okay," but not great, like you would expect, and some of the restaurant service was extremely slow. All in all, I am anxious to go back. Also it is close to the "holistic" Pueblo Bonito, which is also an amazing place to stay and relax. That is the hotel that has the canapy beds out on the beach.
“review”
nice place to go for older people who like to just hang out at the resort.
“Beautiful, but...”
Very beautiful surroundings, extremely courteous and friendly staff, BUT.... one BIG drawback was that we did not know that this is a time share and that sales is a main focus here. We were very pressured into going to a presentation (as soon as we checked in we turned around and the time share people were signing us up, also we were approached while having breakfast and lounging at the pool and shopping as to whether or not we had been to the presentation) which was a very unpleasant experience, not something we wanted to do on our vacation. This is information a tourist should know before booking.
“Have Low Expectations So You Are Not Disappointed!”
The room: Pros: Clean overall. Full kitchen but no oven. Bathroom: Clean, good shower - unlimited hot water, good toilets. The best part of staying at PB is falling asleep to the sound of the ocean but one of the loud flamingos/birds woke me up all night one night only but that's b/c we had the sliding door open. Cons: The bed is very hard so if that's your style, you will like it. The pillows are lumpy. The TV is old fashioned, not a flat screen. When you first walk in to the room, it has a funny smell but if you leave your balcony door open & the ceiling fan going, it goes away after a day or so. The walls are pretty good unless anyone is on the balcony, you can hear everything. We had a family with kids below us & we could hear them talk, play, scream - annoying. At 2 a.m. we jumped from our sleep b/c a young lady was fighting with her boyfriend on the balcony & screaming! Restaurants: The Bistro: Has yummy pizza, Spinich salad & seafood but only go for dinner b/c they obviously have a different chef & the food is totally different when you eat lunch here. Nao: Tasty mango, avacado & crab salad, amazing lobster & all the deserts are tasty. Their breakfast buffet is huge & if you like variety, you will love it. I'm not a huge buffet person so I did not try it. Getting around: A pain but manageable.
“Will go back again.”
Hotel was great. Customer service was an A+. The 3 happy hours a day were a plus.
“A welcome break”
Beautiful weather, great room (we upgraded when we arrived). Very friendly staff, good service. Food excellent (not so cheap!!). The resort was spoiled by the little carts that shuttled people around all day. They seemed to make the place "busy" and there were a lot of fumes! Should be more pedestrianized and people should walk more!! One major complaint would be the lack of towels poolside ... terrible!! Sometimes we had to wait hours to get them and were constantly challenged when we asked for four (there were four of us!!) when you eventually did get them most of them were almost threadbare! Not what you would expect from an hotel of this standard. Everyone had the same complaint ... very poor! For some reason people thought it was fun to jump off the edge of the overflow pools from one level to another - this was very dangerous for our kids who were swimming in the lower level. One day someone did this and hit their head on the wall (not surprisingly!). Security were on to it but it was not good. We enjoyed out stay and would definitely recommend this hotel otherwise.
“great location”
having stayed in Mazatlan at Pueblo Bonito emerald Bay we did notice a difference n service at Sunset. Not as good. Mostly poolside. We had to hunt down a server and they hardly ever checked back for repeat orders. We had a bad experience at the sky pool. We had gone to the deli ( at Sunset Beach) and brought food up to the sky pool and we got kicked out and had to go back to our room to eat. There is a sign that says no coolers but no signs that indicate you can't bring food or drink from other sources. Ridiculous. At Emerald Bay they never said a word to us when we had food from our room or the deli. Maybe if they had actually come around we would have ordered from the pool menu.We were also ignored at "the new pool"
