“Three Texas Sisters - Can't wait to go back Ya'll”
Our five day four night trip went by so fast. Just say, "NO thank you" to the 50 timeshare people who will waste your vacation time if you let them. The drive from the airport to the hotel was about 45 minutes but well worth it. The hotel is gorgeous inside and out. It is surrounded by tons of plants and flowers. We ate at the La Nao restaurant at the hotel 4 different times. The buffet was a little pricie but the food was great and they had such a variety. (diffrent every day) The carts that take you around the hotel are definitely a fun ride. The hotel is right on the beach but you can not swim in it due to the undertow. Not a big deal though the pools are great. Take advantage of the free shuttle to and from it's other resort which is just three blocks from town. Just one dislike. If you plan on going to the Spa book it the day you get there. My sisters and I were really looking forward to getting to pamper ourselves but did not get the chance because they were booked the whole time. All together though the best trip I have been on!
“The Gem of Cabo”
Lovely hotel. Beautiful pools, well maintained. Location is far from rif raff of down town, yet there is a shuttle to PB Rose that can get you down town to shop eat etc. From PB ROSE you can walk up the beach to the Marina. Time share obnoxious sales, but if you know it's there you can avoid it. Good food but on the expensive side. Same with pool side drinks!
“was a wonderful trip”
we were in a penthouse suite and had a wonderful time.
“Great hotel! Would recommend it!”
I thought the hotel was wonderful. When we arrived, we were a bit leary at first because the property is comprised of villas and is very hilly. We didn't anticipate that we would need to be picked up in golf carts to get around, but we found that our villa was well situated, and the golf carts were running around constantly so it ended up being very convenient. I also really liked that Pueblo Bonita has several properties in the Cabo area, and that you as a guest have access to all of their properties. There is a great shuttle that goes every hour to the Rose property which is walking distance from the downtown area. Also, there is a shuttle that goes every 30 minutes to the Pacifica property which is beautiful (and doesn't allow kids). I would recommend Pacifica if you want to be surrounded by adults, Sunset Beach was perfect for families. I would definitely stay there again. The staff at all of Pueblo Bonita's resorts were fantastic and friendly!
“For Mexico. Great.”
Upsides: This hotel was gorgeous. Just about every room there has an ocean view. The staff is very courteous. Everything you need is available at the hotel. Down sides: Food was pretty good but not great (It is Mexico so maybe I am judging too hard). They will try to get you to take there tour to try to sell you property/membership (however, they are not too pushy which was a relief). $12 cab ride into town. You cant swim in the ocean. Like, if you go to dip your feet in the water to see how it feels they come and stop you. Overall: Great experiance for Mexico. If you stay here you most likely will have a wonderful time.
“I definitely would go back in a heart beat!”
Hotel was beautiful and very clean. All staff on premises were extremely nice and helpful with any questions. I highly recommend this hotel for families as there are various 2 ft. kid pools to choose from. However, if you want to take a dip in the ocean you will not be able to due to high tides. Otherwise the pool is lots of fun.
“Relax, Relax, Relax”
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is a very beautiful place to stay. Its lush gardens and panaramic seens are unbelievable. We stood in a Junior suite and it had a kitchenette. The service was fantastic and friendly. The restraunts in the hotel were a little pricy but the food was good. The spa is amazing. Overall, I would definatley return again.
“Fantastic Resort”
Book the hotel shuttle before you arrive for $16 USD if at all possible. A taxi will cost you $70. Be prepared to surrounded by timeshare reps as you are leaving the airport. We actually got sucked in but it was worth it in the long run. We got a free taxi ride, 2 free spa massages, and a restaurant gift certificate but we lost 2 hrs of our vacation listing to their schpeal. Sunset Beach was amazing...We loved our large suite, beautiful views, warm weather, secluded location and the pools. Sky Pool is a must see. Since it's located in on the hill side there are the carts that will pick you up and drive you around. If you are young, limber and are in shape there are plenty of stairs and paths you can take to get you where you want to go if you don't want to wait for a cart. In my opinion the sister hotel Rose is overrated. Yes you can swim in the ocean but the grounds were no where near as nice as Sunset Beach. Rose only had one large pool and it was so crowded vs Sunset Beach had 4 pools and was never crowded. This place has everything and you almost don't even need to leave the resort. We are already planning our next trip back!
“Quality Place!”
Beautiful facility-nice staff. Most comfortable beds we had in Mexico.
“Incredible!”
Excellent resort, beautiful view from every room, gorgeous pools, overall a fantastic getaway, very relaxing. Our room was a jr. suite and was just beautiful, all tiled with a beautiful bathroom and decor and the bed was comfortable. Hotel restaurants were very good, especially the Bistro for casual dining although none had much for basic mexican fare- go to town for that! Just fyi if you are vegetarian, La Frida (the fancy restaurant there) has no veggie entrees and only 1 veg. salad! Service was impeccable though and the food is delicious. Great service at the pools also and the drinks were good everywhere! We loved how secluded the resort was- no vendors on the wide beach, though it is also not a swimming beach as currents and waves are too great. Take the shuttle to the other hotel if you want to go to a swimmable beach. We were quite satisfied with lounging poolside instead! Some are even adults-only which was nice, most are family-friendly The grounds are immense and beautiful with koi ponds, swans, parrots, even flamingos! Lots to discover and very romantic, you'll have a great time!
