The hotel is beautiful! Service is excellent! More geared toward the older crowd (40+). Make sure you ask for a room in the main resort and not on The Ridge.

We had a room right by the pool and beach. There were two bathrooms, airconditioning and loads of space. I would go back again and again.

The Playa Grande is a beautiful hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. The on site restaurants were good with a great Sunday buffet. Room service was always available and fairly quick on delivery. The location near the marina allowed us to walk to town everyday. We never used a taxi to get around. The swimming pools were very nice and the beach was huge. However, there is no swimming off the beach due to riptides. The Playa Grande really pushes their time share options. We were given $100 off our food and beverage tab to take a time share tour which we were told would only last one and a half hours. The actual time spent with time share agents was closer to three hours. The time shares sounded like a good deal, but in the end they ended up coming off like used car salesmen. We didn't buy. We would definitely go back to the Playa Grande for their amenities and location, but the time share tour wasn't worth the $100 off.

“Great Location, Comfortable Room”

I booked this resort with the hope that it would be as nice in person as it was in the pictures, and was pleasantly surprised that it was even better sight seen! We were there from 7-17 to 7-22, and were fortunate to have hot weather. The room with ocean view was beautiful, immaculately clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is a good size fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, range and sink; as well as dishes and utensils. We easily could have spent all our time at the hotel, but we did want to see the sites. We walked to the marina and all its surrounding restaurants and bars everyday. Be sure you wear comfortable shoes because the hotel is located uphill, so barring any health problems most people could handle walking into town. I would recommend this to anyone, and given the opportunity, would go back again.

The Hotel is very beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The view from our room (Jr. Suite) was too good to put into words. Simply stunning. The hotel is a close walk into town and the staff is very friendly. The only gripe we could come up with is that the bed in the room was the hardest we've ever slept on. The room itself, however, was gorgeous. They do try to sell you pretty hard on a time share when you arrive, but if you get past that, it's a great place to stay and highly recommended.

july/2010 my husband and I had the best time ever in Cabo. the hotel Playa Grande exceeded our expectations...the service, the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this to my friends and family.

“Great vacation spot”

Beautiful location, large rooms/suites, friendly staff. Hotel/resort itself was terrific. Would have liked more onsite eating varieties. Only real complaint is the ongoing push from the time you land in the airport on buy, buy... souveniers, time shares, etc. Constantly having to be on the defensive, especially at the airport, way over the top in the aggressive sales behavior.

“Next best thing to home!”

This hotel is Grande! The breathtaking views can be seen all around. This place is immaculate and the rooms are as well. The only issue we had, the rooms did not get cold enough, but we didn't complain to the front desk about it. This is a beautiful resort with friendly staff, beautiful views, and amazaing landscaping and decorator details!
