“Very relaxing getaway!”
We stayed on the all-inclusive package and had a wonderful time. It really is a beautiful resort and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend the all-inclusive package...but be prepared for a bit of a wait when ordering food. It's not the fastest service - but the servers are nice and if you don't go into it expecting to get right in and right out, then the meals are enjoyable. The pool restaurant (El Patio) definitely has the best food at the resort, so be sure to check it out. Ask for the highest room for the best possible views - but it seems like most rooms had a pretty nice view.
“Paradise”
Hotel staff was superb, our 6 year old had a great time she even cried on the flight home saying she did not want to come home. Already planning our trip back to the hacienda encantada!!!
“Relaxing in the sun.”
We were lucky and got an oceanfront room, which are usually reserved for time share owners. The hotel is only a few years old and is in excellent condition. The room was spacious and comfortable for four of us. The doors to the deck open the full height and width of the wall, so our room could be wide open to the ocean. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The housekeeping was excellent. The service at the restaurant, pools and front desk was excellent. We purchased the all-inclusive plan. The food in the main dining room was good, except that on Christmas night they ran out of food early. The food in the high end restaurant was excellent. We went into Cabo one day. The hotel shuttle made this easy. But our priority was to hang out at the pool and relax.
“Outstanding”
Hacienda Encantada was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend going the all inclusive route- worth the money hands down. Service was great, staff was helpful and friendly. We will be back!! I read reviews before we left, and I do not agree with any of the negative reviews. The only thing was having to sign for every bill, even though we were all inclusive. Besides that the pools, food, and drinks were incredible!
“Luxurious, Relaxing Getaway”
Our family loves to travel. We usually take one nice vacation each year. We're average people who don't have tons of money but enjoy comfort and beauty and good food and fun. Hacienda Encantada was a fantastic place for us. Our Junior Suites were 800 square feet, luxurious, beautifully decorated with nice linen. We enjoyed the pools, especially the Infinity pool, and spent a lot of time sitting in the sun or floating and drinking, looking at the Sea of Cortez. I was a little worried about going all inclusive because I was afraid we might not like the food and be "locked in." The food was tasty and well prepared. The eggs for breakfast were real, not strained or powdered junk. My son ordered a shrimp basket for lunch one day, and the chef hand dipped the shrimp, which came out crispy with fluffy coating. For dinner, we had meals ranging from typical Mexican fare to grilled filet mignon. With only 150 units, they have enough staff and facilities to make you food that tastes real. Some people say the service was slow, but we would have a drink & relax. We felt pampered. We left small cash tips. We had our own rental car. We took the horseback ride (fun!) and drove downtown to sail and shop. I had a massage one day. Only 2 negatives -- the push to attend a timeshare presentation and the activities director's not-so-subtle 'fat' jokes at me all week. Like, I don't know. At least my younger son trounced him at volleyball - ha! Overall, the resort is a fantastic place.
“Great place for a quiet getaway. No hussle,no hassle. Definately recomend all-inclusive”
This is a great place for couples. Quiet and tranquil. Service was good not fast, which was ok,it was an excuse for us to slow down. And we did. Only thing we missed was relaxing on the beach, but relaxing over looking the ocean was awesome,as well as the infinity pool. We drank and stared at the arch...BEAUTIFUL!!!! Expedia gave us a great all inclusive price, which is the way to go. There was free shuttle to go into town. The drinks were good and the food was good too.
“quality and value”
Excellent service from Expedia. We had several chages caused by airline flight difficulties, mechanical problems etc. Hacienda Encantada was perfect for us.Great location, great views, good to excellent food, and superlative service. Facilities were perfect. Clean and well maintained everywhere
“Great Value. Not A Top-5 star Diamond Hotel”
We just got back from Los Cabos and loved it. Great place to visit. Maybe to retire one day. The Hotel is very nice, great staff, excellent value for the ALL INCLUSIVE deal. The biggest complaint -- Only 1 real restaurant. Others, pool side buffets. I would recommend the hotel to families with kids - lots to do fun activities which include FREE horseback rides, Swedish massage, Wi-FI, . For adults -- stay at their sister hotel in downtown Cabos.
“Beautiful, classy resort--nicest place I've ever stayed!!!!!”
Allowed us to check in and start using all-inclusive at 10:00 am, instead of having to wait until check-in time of 4:00 pm. Very classy, sophisticated, high-end resort, yet still had areas for the kids to be kids. Great hospitality, super quality for the money, beautiful location--could hear the waves crashing on shore, see whales spouting from our balcony. Live entertainment in restaurant and by bonfire at night providing great atmosphere. Shuttle to town very convenient and cheaper than taxi, but wish they had one returning to hotel a bit later. Nice to be able to shuttle to "town" for the activity of town and then escape back to the serenity of this resort. Can't say enough about the high-end touches (fountains, stamped concrete roads, 5" cushions on the poolside chairs, clean, upscale furnishings and amenities). Nothing "cheap" about this resort. Food was average, we had better meals and more variety in town, but have visited over 7 different places in Cabo and amenity-wise, furnishing-wise, pool-wise, service-wise this was the best BY FAR!!!!! We asked for a few extra things the day of our check-in (an extra chair for balcony, batteries for TV remote, ironing board and few extra towels and all was provided for us immediately). Attended their time-share presentation--they were the least pushy of any we've EVER attended, very gracious even when we said "no thanks". By the way, we are extensive travellers, travelling approx 30 days/nights away from home per year.
“What a wonderful place to stay”
We loved our vacation at this resort and we will be going back again when we can. We did the all inculsive and it was well worth it. We liked the food and drinks and the different theme nights they had with shows were wonderful and it is a nice change. We did do a lot of the activities and suprised that not too many people choose to do any of them. The activity director "Fernan" was great and we had a lot of fun doing the different activities. Our room was so beautiful I rented the presidential suite and I will say it was much too big for the 2 of us and wished we would have had friends with us. We met a lot of very nice people from all over and had a great time with them. We did also have a couples massage outside and it was sooo good we loved it and was the first time we have ever did that. This vacation there was so relaxing it was just what we both needed and I can not wait to go back again. We have been to Cabo several times and this was our first trip at this resort and will not be our last. We are hoping to get our friends to go with us next time after showing them all of our pictures and videos. We do not have a time share there like most of the guests did it seems. Woud reccomend the place to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
