“An excellent place. Cut off the music.”
Everything here met or exceeded our expectations with one or two exceptions. First, the food service and choices were terrific. The staff helpful and friendly. The all-inclusive feature really included everything, except Internet, which was charged by the hour at a high rate. The beach is great, views spectacular from all rooms with an ocean view. The grounds, pools, public areas, restaurants are always clean. We saw whales in the sea without using binoculars. The major exception is the continuous music blared from the PA system all over the grounds. It went off for a few minutes, and we finally felt some peace and quiet. Later in our stay, a conference group showed up and took over the beach and made some noise. Otherwise, we look forward to returning.
“Very Nice”
Excellently maintained and staffed. Food was great, service was great. This was a very, very relaxing week. Beach was quiet, wide - and you could play in the surf (everyone else said not - but lots of people were and there's no problem with it). We'll definitely go back to this place.
“A Cabo Dream”
WOW is all I can say. Great location nice beach although the waves were pretty big so not really a swimming beach. If you want to snorkel stay away from the trips to the Arch they are crowded and short for the money. Take a taxi to Santa Maria Bay for a great public beach with great snorkeling. The beach front shopping was great. The actual resort was awesome, food was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would go back in a heart beat. We had two young kids 7 and 9 and they enjoyed every minute of the stay. Highly recommended.
“Friendliness was the best!”
Everything about this place was the greatest. But since the Sea of Cortez is too rough to swim in they relly need to heat their beartful pool. The temp in the pool was probably 60 degrees. There was never anybody in it so it is a real waste.
“Excellent Hotel”
Excellent Resort
“Food was great!”
For the price and the quality, our stay was incredible. Very reasonable for a family of four. The folks at the service desk went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our waiter Joel carried our plates to our table from the buffet lines! Unbelievable service! The food was very fresh and good. First time none of us had stomach upset. I was impressed that the staff wore facial masks when serving (good thing because the swine flu broke out a week after we returned). The nightly entertainment could be better. We have been on a ton of cruises and many all inclusives and this was one of the better all around vacations.
“Great Week at HOLA”
This was our first trip to Los Cabos and we had a very nice time. The weather was great and the hotel experience was first-rate. The service from the staff at HOLA was excellent. Our concierge Violeta was the best, very helpful and it seems like she was always at the resort. We loved the breakfasts especially the omlettes from Maria. Didn't eat noon lunch but snacked at the snack bar. The pool waitresses worked very hard and tried to keep your glasses full. We ate ala carte twice and it was a nice change, otherwise the evening buffet was nice. We especially liked Mexican night the best. The evening entertainment was pretty good. The resort was not noisy and there were not alot of screaming children running around. The ones that were there were very well-behaved. No wild partying going on here as things seem to quiet down around 11P.M., which for us was great. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. Would not hesitate to come again. Thanks HOLA!
“Forget all your worries...”
My brother got married at this resort. The wedding, service, rooms, and all accomodations were wonderful. The food was also really good. Exceptional service and friendly staff. What a wonderful get-away. Highly recommended for adults. Safes are provided in your room for your valubles which was nice. Not much to do for kids though. One thing, Just don't go swimming in the Ocean- really bad rip tide and we saw someone drown.
“Very Comfortable Hotel”
The service was great! I guess it was off season for them and we had the pools all to ourselves. The food was plentiful but nothing exotic. My son ate mostly pasta and make your own subs. The waiters were close by if you needed another drink. There isn't much entertainment at night. We saw two movies but the screen was close to the pool tables where the kids screamed. The Mexican night had good food. The beaches on the coast are too rough for swimming. We walked a short distance, paid $2, and took the bus to San Lucas. We did snorkeling in the bay and wave running (we even saw a whale in the bay). I did a bike tour at the hotel. They only had 26 inch men's bikes so my feet did not touch the ground and I fell once. They need to get smaller bikes or women's bikes. Yes, the beds are hard. They say watch out for time share salesmen at the airport. An official took me by the arm and lead me to the shuttle service desk in the airport (I already had reservations) where an employee tried to get me to 'look at a new hotel.' The new hotel was an expensive time share. I enjoyed my stay: the pools were nice, the food was good, the rooms were quiet, and the staff very helpful. They just need smaller bikes and a little more entertainment at night.
“This is it!!”
Loved it all! This trip was in celebration of out 26th wedding anniversary. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The food was outstanding; beyond expectation. The pool was the perfect temperature, lounge chairs always available, and with a small tip, the drinks never stopped!! Great location, great service, great price. This is the best Mexican experience we've ever had.
