“can't wait to go back”
Wonderful hotel. Great staff-very accomodating in every manner. The hotel is centrally located. We walked everywhere. All the stores and restaurants are all in walking distance. First time in Cabo and at Casa Dorada. Will definitely be back. Won't stay anywhere else.
“Great location on the only usable beach in Cabo San Lucas”
Hotel was clean, well-staffed and located on the only beach in Cabo that is actually usable. All sorts of water activities (jet ski, parasailing, banana boat, water taxi, etc.) are just a step away from the beach in front of the hotel. As is par for the course, you will get the push upon check-in to purchase a timeshare; nevertheless, there is not much resistance after that if you handle it properly.
“Near Perfection”
Casa Dorada has it all: superb beach location, world class pool, full service spa, right across the street from Ediths, away from the nightclub noise of the marina yet a five minute walk to the clubs. My junior suite was well equipped, double the normal square footage of a hotel room with a massive balcony. The full kitchen was handy to have as well, and the rates were market rates for a property of this caliber. Strongly recommend it.
“First Time to Cabo”
Our stay at Casa Dorada was extremely enjoyable. We were immediately upgraded to a one bedroom suite when we arrived. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only thing that could improve is the blended drinks they serve – pre-mixed, nothing special. Otherwise, great!
“Fantastic trip”
Traveled over Labor Day. Hotel and weather were great! Hotel wasn't full so we were upgraded from a Junior Suite to a 1 bedroom. We were on the 5th floor and had 2 huge balconies (ocean/beach views from both!). They will kill you with time share reps but if you do it (90 minutes) they will comp your taxi trip to and from the airport, give you breakfast and great deals on side trips, spa, etc. They will discount some of the day trips like ATV and Scuba and give you credit at 12 Tribes restuarant or the spa. Take the spa if you get the choice, 12 tribes is very overpriced and not all that great. The spa on the other hand is also overpriced so you will need to put your $100 credit there to get a free massage. I only did $50 but the cheapest massage was $100. The beach is great but the pool is about 80 degrees, not very refreshing when it's so hot out. It is very expensive to eat in Cabo and my husband had his credit card info stollen from one of the restaurants so be carefull when not using cash! Other than how expensive it is and the credit card thing this was probably the best trip I have ever been on!!
“Casa Dorada - A wonderful hotel!”
We loved Casa Dorada, the rooms are spacious and clean and they all have a view of the ocean. We found the staff to be extremely friendly - we were taken care of by various staff members, Paco, Lupe and Hector to mention a few. Great restaurants were recommended, service at the pool was friendly and efficient and everyone always had a smile on their face. The 2 pools are large and inviting and the beach area is also a fun place to spend a few hours. I highly recommend staying at Casa Dorada, it's a 5 minute walk from the Marina and about as central as you can get. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
“Perfect Hotel for Los Cabos”
I never think anything is free, so I look for an acceptable reason and whether or not the trade is a good value. Casa Dorado is an excellent value. Perfect location, accomidation, friendly staff, etc. The trade off is that you will be approached about buying time share while you are staying there. But, just let them know if you're not interested and all will be fine, Our 1800+ sq. ft. suite was perfect for my wife and I with our 2 teenagers. The kids had their own bath, TV watching area, and balconey. It was a separate hotel room with ajoining door to a suite, perfect! We were delighted.
“Can't wait to go back!”
The Casa Dorada is the perfect hotel to stay at in Cabo San Lucas. The hotel is beautiful! It has very modern and contemporary decor. We booked a Deluxe Suite, but the hotel was gracious to upgrade us to a Jr. Suite at no extra cost. The room is very spaciious and comfortable - a soft king bed, a living room space, and a kithchen/dining area. Not to mention a beautiful view of Medano Beach and the Sea of Cortez! Almost all the rooms have a great view, except maybe the 1st floor rooms. Staff is extremely nice and accomodating. The cabana's out on Medano Beach are very nice. They also have it lined off so the beach vendors dont bother you. The food at the fine dining restaurant, 12 Tribes, was great. As well as the food at poolside, Okianus - best club sandwich! The only thing that was a turnoff is the timeshare agents, but once you sacrifice a couple hours for the presentation, they dont bother you again. Then you're off using the gifts (even if you dont get a timeshare) they offered you for going to the presentation. The gifts may vary, but they offer it to you when you agree to go to the presentation and its really worth it! Perfect location as well - right on Medano Beach, literally next door to the Mango Deck & The Office and all the water activities/rentals. Its only about a 10-15minute walk to the Marina, Mall, and Downtown area. Everyone is super nice in Cabo! We can't wait to go back and to stay at Casa Dorada again!
“Wonderful Resort!”
My wife and I went to Casa Dorada for our honeymoon in mid November. We were very impressed by the everything at the resort. Very, very friendly staff, great room service, very clean grounds, and an amazing room! We were upgraded upon check in to a one bedroom suite that was better than any apartment I have ever lived in! Honestly nothing bad to say about the hotel.
