“Our stay with Cabo Villas”
Clean room. We were upgraded with out even asking to a great suite. This hotel is pleasant. Staff was helpful and GREAT location. Had everything we would be looking for in a Hotel room Good view of the beach front after the upgrade. I would go back. The cost was right in our ball park.
“Mixed results, but mostly good”
I was so-so on the room, because although it was very cute and I loved the kitchen, it was in the worst part of the hotel, we needed earplugs because we were near the HVAC, and the keys kept getting demagnatized. Cleaning seemed spotty even though we were leaving tips. Both the bed and the pull-out couch were surprisingly comfortable. The location is great. The hotel is right in the heart of the beach, and very close to the marina. I recommend using the hotel's beach area instead of the restaurant beach chairs. You can use the comfy hotel beach chairs without being expected to spend money all day, and they rope it off from the annoying beach vendors. Altogether it was a pretty good value for the money. Next time I'd probably try the Bahia -- their new remodeled look was really cool. But Cabo Villas was also a good experience.
“Great Location for any type of activities....”
The Cabo Villas Resort is a nice place to stay for any type of travers. The resort is very clean and not too busy. The beach is nice and safe swimming in front of the resort. The scuba diving was pretty good for the pacific, fun to watch the sea lions swim by you when your down 70 ft. Diving is right out in front of the resort so no long boat ride to the dive site, and can be arranged at the resort also. The fishing is great, we went out on a 32 ft yatch and cought fish all day. i would suggest you go to the marina to nogociate a price for the boats you can get a much better deal.
“Very good location, hotel rooms nice...”
The location was perfect! Right where all the beach action is. Unfortunately had to do a timeshare presentation to avoid being on the first floor. I recommend asking to be on the 4th floor or above. After doing timeshare presentation though, no hassel after that, got upgraded room and two free activities (ATV's and snorkel). Had a very lovely time. One thing that was a little annoying was that the hotel staff did not have change. Had to wait around to get $1 back. Did not enjoy the Baja Brewing food too much, although their beer was delish! I also got engaged on this trip in our hotel room which was very nice and gorgeous view! I would stay here again, as long as it's a high floor!
“Common area and pool has limited space”
The hotel was clean and was right on the beach. But there were a LOT of boats right there so it was hard to swim. The common area and pool area has very limited space and there isn't even a hotel lobby, per se. The service really varied. Sometimes it was good and others it was basically non existent.
“Great Family Vacation!! Highly Recommend”
This was a great hotel. Great swimmable beach, walking distance to marina, shopping, eating, etc. This hotel had great food at it's resturants (very americanized). Drinks were not watered down. The only drawbacks was the vendors on the beach, coming on average at 1 per 2-3 minutes! The infinity pool with the swim up bar took care of that problem! Timeshare wasn't too high pressured, but they knew we never vacation in the same place twice so for us to buy in their timeshare for 30 years would not be right for our family (although if you want a timeshare, you might want to buy from someone trying to sell theirs instead of paying their full price). When I book the 1 bedroom deluxe room, I didn't realize it was a king size bed only and then a pull out sofa. I thought when it says it sleep 4 adults that meant 2 beds! My mistake! Overall if we ever went back to Cabo we would definately stay there! Great Vacation!!!
“Loved our room but...”
Our oceanfront room was amazing with the spa on the balcony and the awesome views but service was lacking. The other two rooms we had were nice. We all felt that If you dont buy or show interest in the timeshare you are not treated as well. Our room was never cleaned before 2pm. restaurants closed early and the beach club service was very poor! The worst was the 10am check out, even with an empty hotel! We have been coming to Cabo for 20 yrs and love it but I dont think we will be back to Cabo Villas.
“Not the place to sleep”
My husband and I enjoyed that we were so close to the marina & downtown. Location was great. The regular booked room is not the greatest so we put up with a timeshare presentation to get an upgrade. We are not timeshare fans so it was not our favorite part of the trip. The vendors are very pushy so laying out on the beach can be disturbing not to mention the every other night of late night karoke. We did not get much rest due to that fact of nightly late entertainment. We really loved staying at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica as we got the true feel of a first class resort. Cabo Villas just had the high prices.
“Got more than I expected”
I had nightmares after reading so many mixed reviews of dozens of resorts in Cabo...wasn't exactly sure what I was walking into. But the reviews really helped in the end, and this hotel was much more than I expected. I got a standard one bedroom deluxe that had a VERY comfy king bed which can be hard to come by in Mexico, a full kitchen, huge bathroom (no tub, just very large shower), and private balcony...an ocean view is really a view of the pool and if you are on your balcony you will see the ocean. I was disappointed that there was no tub, but I shrugged it off thinking that I would just use the hot tub next to the pool, but it was only lukewarm. Lovely location, but not hot enough. Other people sitting in the tub with me thought so as well. Anyway, their "spa" is under construction so I had to be escorted there by personnel. It was in a hotel room and didn't have a spa atmosphere at all. Would not recommend if you are looking for atmosphere. I had a fine massage and pedicure there, no frills whatsoever. There was a lot of construction going on the different sides of the hotel, but I was in the new building, and didn't hear a thing. Maid service was great, the pool bar and rooftop restaurant are awesome. The hotel is a stone's throw from town, so it made traveling in town very easy and safe. If you are generous with tipping upon your arrival, you will have incredible service, otherwise, expect great service.
“Will go back.”
Even though the check in problem and eventual room switches were annoying, we did like the resort, the staff, and the location. We would go back again, but wiser from our experiences.
