“quaint, but not for us.”
The Cabo Inn had a beautiful "commons" area with lush tropical plants, flowers and trees, however that was the best part of the hotel. Rooms were very small and matress's were set on cement pads. The Cabo Inn offered no tv, phones or basic comforts in their rooms. We also left behind a very sentimental item in which the hotel staff threw away, contrary to their own policy. If you are trying to be frugal when visiting Cabo San Lucas, this may be the hotel for you, but i would not recommend it.
“Nice little spot.”
I'll be back.
“Depends on what you like...”
The outside of the hotel was very pretty, the court yard was beautiful when it was lit up for the evening, the service was outstanding. The rooms are very tiny and what is called the bathroom is very small- with no privacy. The over all experience was "ok"- however we will not be staying there again.
“Fun and charming!”
I can't say enough great things! Very convenient to beach and all attractions. Great local food within a block in every direction. Friendly, international guests. Friendlier, English-speaking staff. A completely different travel experience from the massive resorts, more like hostels and small hotels of Europe. Everything open-air except the guest rooms, so lots of street noise (which I found fun, but light sleepers may not). Art and color at every turn. I will always stay here when visiting Cabo San Lucas! I came as a solo female traveler and was able to meet friendly fellow guests. Walking to and from the hotel felt safe, though I did not go out after dark (would have with a companion). The front door locks at 10pm, and guests have keys to it, so an added safety feature.
“Book this Place!”
My best friend and I stayed here for spring break and it was amazing! It is a small hotel...maybe 20 rooms, but everyone staying there was young and fun! It was great to socialize with others and make friends. The roof deck with the pool and lounge was a great place to relax. Cabo Inn is right in the middle of town and close to everything! 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to all the nightlife! The rooms were small, but they were cleaned daily! The bathrooms do not have door so make sure you are comfortable with your room mate(s)! :) The staff was really helpful and gave great recommendations. Definitely recommend to young folks. Can't wait to go back!
“Shocking”
Cabo Inn is well located downtown Cabo and the staff is friendly and accommodating (to their abilities). Be;yond that, it fails. The rooms are tiny, the bath separated from the bed area by flimy curtain on a stick (no doors). Forget privacy. The room sink is in the bedroom area, not the bath and the mirror is a joke. Everything looks as if it were 30 years old. It was impossible to read in the room or in the common area since the lighting was so poor. There are no closets and only a couple chairs in the rooms (space is so tight that is all that is possible) The room windows are very small (In fact, the second room we were given had NO window at all! Some rooms have a13 inch TV, some don't have any TV at all. In short, there are much better choices in the same price range.
“cook your own fish”
clean, older, local hotel. Helpful staff. Can arrange tours, rental cars and good advice on saving money on local attractions.
“A NICE LIL' OLDER HOTEL.”
THIS IS A NICE, CLEAN, OLDER HOTEL. IT'S CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.
“Great Little Hotel”
Great little hotel, clean and safe. Will stay again if in the area.
“Good value for the price”
The hotel is located in Cabo San Lucas downtown, close enough to both the Medano beach and all the restaurants, bars and clubs around in the marina area. The streets around it look, well, unexceptional - a typical non-tourist part of a Mexican town :-) But there is a local seafood restaurant in a 1-minute walk, and a smaller one, also local, just around the corner. Both are good and inexpensive. There are several small stores (water, beer, sun lotion...) at just an arm's stretch as well. The hotel itself has an American owner and nice, friendly staff. The planning seems to follow some kind of a Mexican style. Whether that's good or bad depends on your attitude I guess. Rooms themselves are very small and bare, a bit like monastery cells. Air conditioners are ad hoc and noisy. But outside rooms the hotel interior is open and nicely decorated. You can sit in a chair outside, by your room's door, and read or smoke or whatever - probably in authentic Mexican style as well :-) The bed was ok, and I didn't experience any safety issues whatsoever. There are no phones in the rooms, but there is free wi-fi. Overall, I think it's a pretty good value for the price. Not sure everyone will like everything about it, but if, like me, you come for a short time without kids and don't want to pay $$$ for a big room that you only sleep in, it's worth trying.
