“Cabo's best kept secret”
If you're looking for a great hotel just off the beach then this is the place. The rates are half that of the beach hotels and the rooms are twice as nice. You are steps to the sand. The staff and service is top shelf . The restaurant Esquina is excellent. When I go back to Cabo I will definitely pick Hotel Bahia.
“Can't say enough good things”
Very lovely place, nice attendents, great location and fine food
“LOVED IT!!!”
We had a pleasureable stay! The room was clean, staff was excellent. We will be back thanksgiving 2012 with the family.
“Very cool boutique hotel, with odd quirks.”
Went here for my honeymoon and was very pleased with this boutique hotel one block from the beach! Location was great, all the staff was very helpful and attentive. Gorgeous building, great pool with swim up bar, didn't get a great view, but didn't spend time on the balcony anyway. Was disappointed that wifi was only available in the lobby/bar and pool/bar, not in the rooms, but it was fun to bring the laptop down to the pool and get two for one drinks outside. The cabanas are lovely! The restaurant Esquina that is a part of the hotel is very cool, one of the nicer restaurants in Cabo San Lucas, which made it a hot spot of sorts, even a little on the pricey end. Was disappointed that they charged us corkage (around $18 USD) even as guests of the hotel. Although great people watching! Free parking for hotel guests made it nice since we rented a car for our trip. There was a small kitchen but no pots/pans/knives/etc so we had to buy a pan for cooking and prepared on the kitchen tile. The bed in front of the television had a very uncomfortable yet cute plaster shell behind it, so you couldn't sit up to watch the television. Little things like this made Bahia Beach Club odd, but still totally great. I would definitely return.
“SV & JW Los Angeles”
The new renovated hotel is beautiful with modern decor. The location is very convenient to everything. The beach and nice restaurants are in walking distance. The downtown is 5 min. drive. The hotel restaurant offers great modern mexican fusion cuisines at very reasonable price. The hotel staffs were very helpful. We loved the intimate size of the hotel compared to many mega resorts in Cabo San Lucas.
“You get what you pay for at Bahia. Know before you go. But go.”
I read the reviews before booking this hotel. Bottom line: great hotel for the price. The issue is that when booking from Expedia, the hotel shows pictures of the more expensive updated room. The cheaper, non-updated room is fine. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Just cheaper. Yes, it doesn't have pot and utensils to go with the stove. But who goes to Cabo to cook anyways? And the welcome drink is water with sliced fruit. Very refreshing even is you were expecting an alcoholic drink. Yes, the hotel offers free calls to the US. But what they don't tell you is that all the guest have to share one line to the US. So chances are, you won't be able to make free calls to the US cause there's always someone else on the line any time of day or night. Yes, the concierge isn't knowledgeable, but again....you get what you pay for. If you want an in-the-know one, pay more for at another hotel. Or do your own research before you go. The doorman, Fabien, is awesome. Friendly. Helpful. And interested. The decor in the lobby/bar/resto is fabulous. Yes, the food is expensive. But....you get what you pay for. It's worth every penny. And during the day, they had great drink specials. The mushroom pizza is amazing. The drinks are terrific. I'd recommend this to my friends, as long as they knew what they were really getting.
“Best Hotel in Cabo!!!”
My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Cabo San Lucas, and we couldn't have asked for more than Bahia. The hotel is gorgeous, tasteful, clean, and in an ideal location. The staff outdo themselves to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Most of them speak very good English, but are also happy to help you practice your (in our case, amateur) Spanish. There is only one swim-able beach in Cabo, and Bahia is mere steps away from it. You can hire a water taxi and get to the famous arch or land's end in just a few Mexican minutes. Additionally, it is very easy to walk to the marina, downtown, or into old-world Mexico in order to get anything you could possibly want. However, if you just want to lounge at the Bahia pool, it has gorgeous beds and chairs...and a lovely swim-up bar as well (you can request a room right off the pool, and you'll get it if you're lucky) Bahia offers everything the all-inclusive resorts can't...variety, convenience, and genuine local flavor and hospitality. This is THE place to stay in Cabo, hands down. It is a family-friendly hotel, but is also very romantic and cozy, so it suits every traveler's needs. We were actually told by many locals that we made the right hotel choice; they said Bahia is where they would stay if they were travelling in Cabo. And don't miss the hotel restaurant and bar, Esquina. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable. It is far and away the best food in Cabo. Happy travels!
“Cabo”
Room was pretty small; had a "kitchenette" with stove, but a bar minifrigerator----not enough room to keep much of anytiing. More importantly, the toilet didn't work very efficiently requiring at least 3 flushes. Hotel restaurant is VERY proud of itself----honestly have to say the food was excellent, but reflected in the prices. Staff was exceptional, but things didn't go quite as smoothly for the price.
“Will stay again”
If you're looking for a fresh, clean, recently renovated, friendly hotel close to the beach with a good restaurant, then this is the place. A fridge and microwave were supplied but no eating utensils in the room. However, staff were very accommodating in providing some when requested. Very comfortable..would stay again for sure!
“This place is a rip off!!!”
The place is in a nice location. The room is slightly above average. But given the hotel it is over priced... I was told that phone calls were "cheap" by the staff. Two phone calls (combined less than 3 minutes) to the US cost me in excess of $100!
