Never stay at this hotel

Posted 3-Mar-2015
This hotel is deceivingly advertised. The rooms are closet size, no parking, no warm water, smells terrible not to mention the location is the rough "ghetto" area.

Loved the access to the beach.

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Pros: Access to the beach.
Cons: Can't wait to see the renovations that were undergoing! The rooftop patio will be spectacular.
Location: The beach - rent some bikes from Jay's Rentals a few blocks down and ride all the way to Malibu! Rent a surf board from Jay's and surf all day!
The hotel was undergoing some construction but was still comfortable and clean. The parking was not the greatest but nothing too bad.

Very nice right on the beach

Venice is beautiful by day. Not so much at night. Take that into consideration.

Exactly what we were looking for.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was charming and clean. It's located right in the middle of the beach action. Parking is available nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to see how the facade restoration turns out!

New year get away with kids and service dogs.

Posted 2-Jan-2015
We had a lovely experience, the hotel is exactly as described. We love old architecture and we love history, so this place was perfect for us. The staff at this hotel were helpful and kind. We arrived with two PTSD service dogs and we were facilitated with no problems. My husband and I are both Combat Veterans with various types of handicaps, we were treated very well and had no problem while we were there. We loved spending time walking on the beach and walking on the board walk. We were happy to find a lot of vegetarian food options from various restaurants near by. We loved it so much there we intend to go back some day soon.

Amazing stay!

Posted 8-Dec-2014
We arrived hours before the allocated check-in time, and we're given a room straight away! Matt - the owner - was so friendly! He showed us where everything was in LA and arranged for a taxi to pick us up when we left and everything. The room was great and the view was amazing - right on Venice Beach! Would recommend 10/10

not my money's worth

The smell of cleaning chemicals was overpowering. The ambient noise from outside was loud. There was a performer with an electric guitar blaring in front of the hotel. The view of a next door roof was ugly. There were homeless people camped outside nearby. You would pass them on the way to your car. After airing the place out for hours, the smell dissipated. The noise did calm down after night fell and it was fairly quiet and comfortable.

I'm glad the smell dissipated; my housekeepers and I have chatted and we all agree to take things a little easier with the Pine-Sol!

Hotel correct, quartier peu engageant

Posted 2-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
