This Santa Monica hotel offers guestrooms located in the original Palisades Wing and the contemporary Ocean Tower. Palisades Wing rooms have early-American-style decor, dark woods, and richly toned fabrics. The Lobby Lounge - Intimate lobby lounge with views of the adjacent koi pond. Serving lunch, dinner, cocktails, imported and domestic beers, and wine by the glass. Cappuccino and espresso are also available.

“Great luxurious hotel”
The staff was great. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and I mentioned that when we checked in; they sent us a bottle of champagne and dessert compliments of the hotel. The hotel is very classy, but yet still comfortable--unlike the newer hotels which go for sleek over comfort. The restaurant, Fig, is top-notch, offering a range of American/European cuisine that was delicious. The room itself was very nice, with a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable--we slept great. The room was quiet, there was very little noise from any neighboring rooms, despite being New Year's weekend. The only slight negative marks about the room was the TV. The TV itself was a nice LG flatscreen and would have looked great with HD programming, but the hotel only had analog cable. I know it's a small thing, but it's 2012 and it really can't be that big an expense to upgrade to digital--they have HD satellite in the lounge and the restaurant. Still, that's really the only negative point.

Great attention to detail and I enjoied the gym with the fresh cucumber rosemary water, very refreshing.

The only complaint I'd have is the housekeeping staff were noisy in the hallway in the morning.

Excellent all around. Perfect location, excellent service and great food. They are there to please. I grew up near the hotel but never know how perfect it was until I had the opportunity to stay there.

I loved this Hotel because of it's history and location. Also, it was beautiful and very clean. The staff; all accomodating and welcoming. While I was there the restaurant "FIG" had a special from 5:00 to 6:00 of half off the dinner menu. I felt blessed to be able to partake of a gormet chef's creations at a price that I could afford. Staying in this Hotel was like a dream come true with a little bit of old Hollywood thrown in with the Bungalows from yesteryear. The view from my balcony was just beautiful as I enjoyed the Pacific Ocean every evening before bed and every morning when I awoke. The room was lovely and comfortable. You were treated like royalty and felt taken care of.

Lives up to its 4 star catagory. Friendly staff, very clean, SMELED GOOD! Quiet and comfortable room.
“Would definitely stay here again!”
We ended up changing our room after the first night due to the bathroom door. It was a split slated door with minimal privacy. We were moved to a room, much larger, with an actual bathroom door. Loved it!
“Great place to stay in LA”
Gracious, older style hotel close to beach, pier and attractions. Stayed in suite with good sized rooms. Parking expensive - only option seemed to be valet parking. Friendly and welcoming service. Were there in winter so did not use pool and out a lot so didn't use the spa or what looked like a well equipped workout center. Close to restaurants and shops.
