Property Amenities
The Terranea Resort includes a 25,000-square-foot oceanfront spa and salon, and a full fitness facility that provides classes and training experts. Nine restaurants offer a variety of casual and fine-dining options. The four pools include water slides, beach chairs, and umbrellas.
The nine-hole, par-three Links at Terranea golf course offers ocean views. Guided nature walks and hiking trips are available. Biking, equestrian, and water activities are nearby. Complimentary transportation around the resort is included in the resort fee.
The property offers many accessibility features, including handicapped parking, Braille or raised signage, equipment for the deaf and roll-in showers.
Room Amenities
Rooms
The Terranea Resort has 582 guestrooms spread over 25 Mediterranean-style buildings. All rooms and suites include private patios or balconies, and beds with down pillows and comforters. Rollaway beds available (surcharge).
Guestrooms offer 37-inch LCD TVs with premium cable channels, in-room safes, and dual-line phones with voice mail. Wireless and high-speed Internet access is included in the resort fee. Turndown service is performed nightly. The large bathrooms feature terrycloth robes, separate showers and tubs, and stone finishes.
Suites include separate living areas, two 42-inch LCD TVs, and an additional bathroom. The villas, casitas, and bungalows offer living and dining rooms, laundry facilities, fireplaces, and full kitchens.

“Don't believe the reviews. This place was awesome.”
This hotel was absolutely amazing. We had an amazing time for the 4 nights we were there. Our 5 year daughter loved the pool complex, with the slide and heated pool (86 degrees!). The rooms and grounds were immaculate and beautiful. The service (despite what we had read in reviews) was exceptional and attentive. We ate at Catalina Kitchen which was good but not great. Our favorite spot to eat was Nelsons. Amazing place to sit have a drink and excellent bar food and shell fish and watch the sunset while whales and dolphins swim by the pacific below. Beautiful outdoor fire-pit at Nelsons and throughout the resort were a treat during our cool nights. The on site beach is not much to write home about, but allows for the beach like experience if thats what you want. We preferred sitting poolside and enjoying the beautiful views of the pacific from afar. Beautiful Redondo beach is a 15 min car ride away if you want a full beach experience. The area it self is quiet and not much to see or do, but it was what we wanted after a few days in Disneyland. Would definitely go again. We have stayed at Ritz Carltons around the world and would not hesitate to put this resort in that class from a setting and beauty standpoint. Highly recommended.
“Carefree Wedding weekend”
My Fiancee and I splurged and stayed at Terranea during our Palos Verdes Wedding. Joel at the front desk, took care of all our needs and special requests. Can i have a late check out, can my Mom check in early, can we do this take that. I was certain they would ask for more money or give us some grief. But No, They took care of us so well, we couldn't have been happier during our wedding. The location and view was so romantic and beautiful. Every staff member we dealt with was helpful and cheerful. For such a special occasion Terranea was the absolute best choice for our stay.

Very nice property on the California coast. Worth every penny. On property restaurants are excellent. Shuttle to Trump National, which is one of the best courses I have played. Definitely will stay there again.
“Relaxing, Grand Resort”
Family friendly mini vacation. Heated, clean salt water pools, jacuzzi, and waterslide for anyone. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful with separate tub and shower. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and Pacific Ocean. Quiet hotel at night with restaurants and bars to visit. For those who care about their health, there is a gym with free classes like spin and weight training by actual fit intructors. This trip was taken two weeks after taking a Hawaii trip, we felt like we were back in our resort in Hawaii. There is alot of Aloha Spirit from the staff. Thank you.
“Nicest place I have ever stayed”
I have stayed in many nice hotels and resorts, in some of the most scenic spots in the world, and I think Terranea is bar none the nicest, most beautiful place I have ever stayed. There is ocean view everywhere you look, including out my hotel room window (which was billed as a "resort view" room, not an ocean view room). Every single staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms and grounds are immaculate, the restaurants and spa are first-rate, and the whole area is gorgeous and peaceful. It is the perfect getaway, especially for those that live in L.A.. Although it is not cheap, I feel like I could have paid twice as much for what I got.

As soon as you pull into the hotel, you are greeted by nothing but genuine smiles and positive attitudes that are willing to help. The lobby was clean and absolutely gorgeous. Check-in was quick and easy. We were directed to our room and told our bags would be waiting for us -- they were. You can tell the people who work in the hotel take their jobs seriously. The hallways are clean, the food is spectacular, the pools have crystal clear water, and the food -- oh the FOOD was absolutely amazing. Catalina's Kitchen has the most amazing food. EVERYTHING on their menu was delicious. Their soups of the day were all tasty. My kids have some dietary restrictions and we didn't have to worry about them getting sick because the waiters and waitresses all took special care and said it was no inconvenience to accommodate us. The standard room was roomy and comfortable for 4 people, I'm certain they could hold 5! Also, the beds were comfortable, the views amazing, the bathrooms GENUINELY clean. The staff were amazingly kind and would come to your "aid" at a moments notice. I have nothing bad to say about this resort. If you are looking for the getaway of a lifetime come to Terranea. I am definitely going back. 1500 words is not enough to express how amazing THIS resort is. The staff, the amenities, the location, the price, EVERYTHING combines to create a safe, relaxing, family friendly, enjoyable haven.

“Great Views!”
We did an ocean view room - and it was great. The hotel was really nice with a great pool/slide for kids. There were trails you could hike on, and a really neat cave to hike down too. We came back with some great pictures.
“A wonderful resort - can't wait to go back!”
This resort is right by the ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes just south of LA. It offers total luxury and relaxation, but is in close proximity to LAX airport and all area attractions. It only has a small beach, but great trails for running along the cliffs. Amazing sunsets. The restaurants are a little overpriced, but the quality of the food is very good. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back.
